That sounds like a performance of the locally infamous F-Art Ensemble, of which I am a latent associate. It dates back to Tate St. in the 80's, giving performances in the basement of a Chinese Restaurant. Playing everything from pots to pans to empty plastic jugs; bells, whistles, and noisy prop missiles. Hand drums and bad pun funs. Harps and marbles and kicks in the yarbles. Some of the finest musicians came through it. Symphony and show people. Alternative heads from all genres. Even Chadbourne kicked with them from time to time.
Broadly speaking, it's an experimental sound collaboration and voice improvisation. Jazz meets pazazz. Pure clod knockery We could empty a room faster than a Wayne Newton cover band. If I got a call I would be there in a heartbeat. I miss that. Maybe I'll start my own experimental project. It could possibly lead somewhere interesting. I'd like to add a performance art or theater element to it. What would I name it? Oh, I forgot. There are a few to choose from over in Name My Band. Better be careful. Could be a trap.
