I noticed most of my favorite artists had many songs I had never rated. Since I have been diligently rating almost every song I have heard during my last 10 years of heavy listening this told me these songs were rarely played. I started rating them 7 to meet My Mix threshold especially the songs that had high average ratings. The Favorites Mix algorithm would play my newly rated 7's soon instead of randomly and I liked them so much I left almost all at 7. I have added more than 2000 songs to My Favorites Mix this way bringing my total to 8509. When I'm at the computer and manning the skip button I listen to the Main Mix so I will hear new music, Alana's beautiful voice and William's pithy comments. I save My Favorites Mix for when I'm away from the computer and don't want to be bothered by songs I don't like. I'm delighted when I hear the hidden gems I released with this simple tweak.
