While our country lies broken, all battered and tattered
by monsters who want to be buttered and flattered
I gotta talk about something that actually matters
'Bout families who oughta be climbing the ladder
Caged like criminals, abused, shattered and scattered
Can't tell if it makes me madder or sadder but
I've studied the pattern and I think it's the latter
Gotta speak up, raise your voice over the clatter
Before you're face-down on a sidewalk where your brains are splattered
Thank you for your attention to this matter

If a can of Chicken Noodle soup contains more noodles than chicken, shouldn't it be called Noodle Chicken soup?

I would normally post this in the "Vinyl Only Spin List" thread.

But...Unfold The Future...

I never forgot that face. Weatherworn from years of standing on a corner, holding his sign.

It must have been twenty years ago now. I went through that intersection many times on the way to the lumber yard and there he would be.
Most of his nose was gone. Diabetes from drinking I supposed. The skin of his hands and face, well, one might imagine. Red rimmed, crystal blue eyes. Pleading smile.
His sign was always the same one. It seemed to be recycled from a piece of foam board or plastic. Another sign, I thought.
One day, I saw what was printed on the back, most of it torn or worn away.
What was left read simply, "DESTINY.COM"
To this day when I drive through that same intersection I see the curtain pulled back on our world. That particular man is long gone, often replaced by others, but none as memorable.

I don't see that as often as I use to when I worked in the city, but every time I would drive by I couldn't help but think...that could be me.
