If I had a gun for every ace I've drawn
I could arm a town the size of Abilene
Don't you push me baby cause I'm moaning low
You know I'm only in it for the gold

All that I am asking for is ten gold dollars
I could pay you back with one good hand
You can look around about the wide world over
You'll never find another honest man

Last fair deal in the country, sweet Suzy
Last fair deal in the town
Put your gold money where your love is, baby
Before you let my deal go down

Don't you push me baby
because I'm moaning low
I know a little something
you won't ever know
Don't you touch hard liquor just
a cup of cold coffee
Gonna get up
in the morning and go

Everybody's bragging and drinking that wine
I can tell the Queen of Diamonds by the way she shine
Come to Daddy on an inside straight
I got no chance of losing this time
No, I got no chance of losing this time

Even as a flaming conservative I found that quite funny.
Just found RP yesterday, good mix, head on.
Nice interlude between the ReligiousRightWing talk shows I listen to.  {#Music}.

Also good background for writing construction contracts.

Sounds like there's hope for you yet. Perhaps you should try listening to something you don't know beforehand you will agree with, you may just learn something.
I know a little something you will never know...
I always loved the Cracker version of this song.

Not sure about that....

Or 150 years ago.  That's the brilliance of Robert Hunter.
Love me some Jerry!  Also, boob.

Reminds me of an old Woody Allen joke. See, we all have an exact double of us out there, somewhere, who happened to be born just like us and does everything we do. Well, one day, I found mine. And so, I decided to get in touch with him. Except, wouldn't you know it, every time I try to phone him, his line is busy! <budda boom>
This sounds like it could have been written yesterday.

(reply)...I am NOT a Dead fan, even though I have seen them twice, outdoors. 1st along with the Allman Bros. & The Band at Watkins Glen. And second at the RFK stadium in D.C.!  That being said, this is an EXTREMELY EXCELLENT tune! -eileenomurphy

Lo these many years ago I read an interview with Garcia in Playboy in which he and the interviewer sat together, got high, and Garcia put on a Dolly Parton album and was soon crying in emotional response to the music. Is it possible that on this date April 14, 2019) this song follows a Dolly Parton song? I am prepared to believe that this is the case, even if implausible. On Radio paradise this is at least a possibility.

Brilliant is right!  Now I'm a-waitin to see if the trio of songs is played again today...or if that Loser named Sara from Anchorage is still enough of a thing to for BillG to trot out this subtle slam.  Long Live RP!!
*EDIT* No such luck today...which is OK....I guess she really is irrelevant now....kinda miss her versus our current situation...oh well....

That's because it's the original
