Feeling better, now that we're through
Feeling better 'cause I'm over you
I learned my lesson, it left a scar
Now I see how you really are

You're no good
You're no good
You're no good
Baby, you're no good
I'm gonna say it again

You're no good
You're no good
You're no good
Baby, you're no good

I broke a heart that's gentle and true
Well, I broke a heart over someone like you
I'll beg his forgiveness on bended knee
I wouldn't blame him if he said to me

You're no good
You're no good
You're no good
Baby, you're no good
I'm gonna say it again

You're no good
You're no good
You're no good
Baby, you're no good

I'm telling you now, baby
And I'm going my way
Forget about you, baby
'Cause I'm leaving this day

You're no good
You're no good
You're no good
Baby, you're no good
I'm gonna say it again

You're no good
You're no good
You're no good
Baby, you're no good
Oh, oh no

You're no good
You're no good
You're no good
Baby you're no good

She's in her seventies and still attractive.
our hometown pride and joy

Santana - Guajira     ==>   Thievery Corporation - Dance On Vaseline (w/ David Byrne)   ==>    Garage A Trois - Plena For My Grundle   ==>   The Sandals - Theme from Endless Summer     ==>    Cowboy Junkies - Brand New World     ==>    Dr. John - I Don't Wanna Know     ==>    Linda Ronstadt - You're No Good

the radio also has inspiration moments!

I really doubt this issue of Time would have sold as well if "The Magic World of Credit" was the main cover story...

this used to be popular with strippers.

YES! I thought the same thing.
I love this tune!  LR was such a little hottie too!

I feel like I should like it, but the only Linda Ronstadt music that hasn't made me feel creepy or be annoyed is the background tracks on Neil Young's Harvest Moon.  Otherwise it's sucko-barfo for me.

I can't give the song a 1 but I like your reference to her background singing.....That's a good place for her.  Her "hits" seem out of place here.

The last time I heard Linda Ronstadt sing it was that commercial for "Plow King"... Comments about AM radio aside, she had (has?) a wonderful voice.

hell yeah!  bring back AM radio!
...gee, I was really thinking that I needed to hear some Linda Ronstadt right about now.  She was the first musical artist I got to see live... I was probably all of about 12... no make that 8 (The parental units took us along to the Universal Amphitheater.)

Mining the rich ore of 70s rock is a satisfying task!

It looks like Bill just added a bunch of LR to the library? Personally, I would have preferred Love Has No Pride, or her awesome version of Tumbling Dice.

Based on the low song ID numbers, he added them a long time ago and then just didn't play them.

Man, am I ever a nerd ...

As I recall - I had this album on 8 Track!  The weirdest technology ever.

For me Linda is a guilty pleasure.  I kinda like the 80's stuff off of Mad Love: "How Do I Make You," "Hurt So Bad," and "Justine."  Especially the way she delivered this lyric from "Justine:"

Ah, but love came down like a hammer and it blew her away. . .

Me three...love Ms. Ronstadt's work.  Lots of childhood / family memories associated with some of her big hits from the 70s.  Great stuff.  Be sure to check out her early work with Stone Ponies too if you like her music.  BTW, what a fabulous-looking woman she was, eh? One of my earliest brunette crushes...as a pre-teen. {#Hearteyes}

Oh how true this is.

Yep, she was hotter than a rocket, all right. I remember her being Jerry Brown's GF when he was running for POTUS back in the day.

What a talent! {#Clap}
It's still so good, still so good, still so good! {#Yes}

I liked her voice, and some of her stuff, especially early (Stone Ponies), but the thing is she was one of the those in rock who was just a vocalist and she came along smack in the middle of an era when the singers were moving out on their own, and away from being controlled by the studios. People who previously just wrote songs were now getting to sing them (e.g., Warren Zevon).  She did not write her own songs, and it really was more just the voice, without owning a song.  Some were good, but just not a lot of feeling that comes with owning the song.

What ever happened to . . .
I remember this from AM radio, when that's all there was...{#Sad}
Wow...
Thanks for that.
It must have been about 30 years.....

Wow...
I'm old.

I sure did love this album!

If this question isn't some form of joke then you have serious mental issues that require immediate attention!

I would love to hear the Betty Everett version: it rocks.  This is very good too, though.
