I remember when,
I remember, I remember when I lost my mind
But there was something so pleasant about that place
Even your emotions had an echo
In so much space

And when you're out there, without care
Yeah, I was out of touch
But it wasn't because I didn't know enough
I just knew too much

Does that make me crazy?
Does that make me crazy?
Does that make me crazy?
Possibly

And I hope that you are having
The time of your life
But think twice
That's my only advice

Come on now, who do you,
Who do you, who do you, who do you think you are?
Ha ha ha, bless your soul
You really think you're in control?

Well, I think you're crazy
I think you're crazy
I think you're crazy
Just like me

My heroes had the heart
To lose their lives out on a limb
And all I remember
Is thinking, I want to be like them

Ever since I was little
Ever since I was little it looked like fun
And it's no coincidence I've come...
And I can die when I'm done

But maybe I'm crazy
Maybe you're crazy
Maybe we're crazy
Probably...

Man, I hope in the last 11 months you've had a deep dive into soul. You have missed so much.
You could be a show off by walking down the  street,  the way this bass sounds,

You can adjust the treble on the bass EQ and hit the strings with a hard pick (instead of just fingers) to get that percussive tone when the strings are hit. A technique I use on my own mixes (hobbyist songwriter/production).

If I like it a little bit on my first go around it gets a 5... Just so it comes back in my rotation and I hear it again. Today's 5 may be a 7 in a few weeks.

Wonderful tune!

There's a skip button? Who would need that?

Thank you for stating this kindly. I am a nurse and got vaccinated (which I would have preferred to delay until more science/history ruled in) to protect those that don't wear masks, etc. Let's all stop yelling and being outraged. It is so exhausting after the last 4 years. God bless your wife and keep her safe.

December 2006 I landed in London, beginning what would be 4 months of backpacking around Europe post divorce. This song was EVERYWHERE and yeah, it thumps along and seems interminable on occasion, but every time I hear it I'm transported back to that time of both discovering Europe and rediscovering myself after 12 years of marriage. Crazy, indeed.

GREAT COMMENT!

My first two days as a music composition and performance student (many, many years ago) went like this ...

Professor:  "I will play 50 minutes of music.  You will listen without talking or taking notes."  We listened to everything from the Beatles to Basie to Beethoven to Gregorian chants to African tribal music to musique concrete.

Made me realize the wide expanse of "music" and taught me a little about things I didn't know.
Proof pop perfection can achieve 10/10
I don't care how much airplay this got when it came out, it's a good tune and I like it :)
Saw Cee-Lo at one of those mid-size city summer festivals. So many things were messed up about it, including him being so late that he missed half his timeslot.

Then, when he introduced this song he talked like Gnarls Barkley was just this alias he came up with. Can't even spare a smidge of acknowledgement to the partner he made it with? What a knob.
This is a great song. This is why I like RP so much . What will be the next song? Box of chocolates anyone?
Great song thanks!

I'm a little surprised at the negative comments. I just think of it as a tight little pop song. Makes me move.
One of the only 2 or 3 songs on the RP playlist that I must absolutely mute.

 We'd be Crazy not to!

For me, this song represents the beginning of the end of my "single" life, great, somewhat fuzzy memories, surprised my house is still standing after some of the rocking parties....equally surprised no cops showed up (the benefits of having 1/2 acre lot...keeps the neighbors from complaining as much) and thankful for the few non-rap tracks that we played over and over like this one.  I remember my roommate/homey and I rushed to download this on LimeWire immediately after we first heard it on a friend's myspace page....ahh...those were the years!!

CeeLo rocks...
 I agree with you.

I just pulled up this song and saw that I had rated it a 2 a while back. Upped it to a 5 today.  Kind of catchy, and I don't know why I rated it so low the first time.  Still not my favorite song, but it's not bad either.

This is like some sort of awesome motown revival.  Awesome song from a great album.

It is dreadful. IMO Cee lo should just stick to hip-hop.  Goodie Mobb was wonderful.
Today, this followed a Stevie Wonder hit (yes, I know he has dozens) that had an interesting song comment.  The comment was something like this: "I wonder what the '70s would have been like if we had today's technology then."

Well, I assume that Stevie Wonder would sound a lot like Gnarls Barkley.  Same vibe that gets you moving, with Stevie lyrics to make a societal point.  Got no idea what Diana Ross or Led Zeppelin would sound like.  The Beatles' sound, of course, would not change one whit.

Thanks; I'll go now.

I like it.  Someone suggeted it has an "honest Motown feel," which I can certainly feel.  It's fun, poppy, and makes me wonder why I'm not doing some sidewalk boogie in my Chuck Taylors.
Since I've already gone crazy, I like this song.

If you just plain don't like the song on its own merits, that's fine.  Feel free to dislike it.  But if your gripe is that you're hearing it too many places, then you need to change your environment.  For me, it absolutely belongs in the RP mix, no question.

I am so sick and tired of people who think that extremely popular songs that get played too much on terrestial radio should be low rated or flat out not played on RP.

This is a freaking great song and definitely needs to be part of the eclectic RP mix.

Maybe I'm craaaaazyyyyyy, but I don't listen to freaking terrestrial radio anymore so the only times I get to hear this are on RP or when it pops up if I'm playing my collection on random.
