My grandpa, he's ninety-five
And he keeps on dancin', he's still alive
My grandma, she's ninety-two
She loves to dance and sing some too
I don't know, but I've been told
If you keep on dancin', you'll never grow old
Come on, darlin', put a pretty dress on
We're gonna go out tonight
Dance, dance, dance
Dance, dance, dance
Dance, dance, dance
Well, all night long
I'm a hardworkin' man, I'm a son of a gun
I been workin all week in the noon day Sun
Woods in the kitchen and the cows in the barn
I'm all cleaned up and my chores are all done
Take my hand and come along
Let's go out and have some fun
Come on, darlin', put a pretty dress on
We're gonna go out tonight
Dance, dance, dance
Dance, dance, dance
Dance, dance, dance
Well, all night long
Pick on
Dance, dance, dance
Dance, dance, dance
Dance, dance, dance
Well, all night long
Come on, darlin', don't look that way
Don't you know, when you smile I've got to say
Your my hunny pumpkin lover, your my hearts delight?
Don't you wanna go out tonight?
You're such a pretty lady, you're such a sweet girl
When you dance it brightens up my world
Come on, darlin', put a pretty dress on
We're gonna go out tonight
Dance, dance, dance
Dance, dance, dance
Dance, dance, dance

I think I like Jet Airliner better.
Mercy...this was weak when it came out and time has not treated it with kindness.
Okay, I love SMB... But this is my least favorite song of theirs by far. Play their rock-n-roll, if you like... but if you want bluegrassy, there are so many better choices out there than this.

Have you listened to any of his music that is NOT on the greatest hits? If you did, you might have a different opinion.
I would prefer to hear a deeper cut from Steve, but this is ok.
Steve gets a 2 for writing the worst lyrics in the history of music and still selling albums. Almost charming.
On first blush, I'd veto anything off this Best Of album, as it got played too many damn times in my highschool years... but I do admit this is a catchy song. Just don't play it often, OK?

What about chair dancing? Will I grow old very slowly?
