That opening guitar lick stops me in my tracks every time.
saw them live at Graffiti in Pittsburgh 20+ yrs ago. they were fabulous.
Makes we wish I was back in N'awlins today for the first day of Jazz Fest.

Not so much. I also thought "Why is he playing Michael Bolton?"

Thanks for playing this song! I saw the Subdudes perform this song live at Floores Country Store in Helotes, TX. They continue to be outstanding musicians.
Wasn't enjoying this much - Michael Bolton, yes exactly! - but that accordion touch is nice. Meandering accordion solos never do a song any harm.
Delicious music over the last hour.
Makes work go by faster.

Gotta love the 'dudes. Great memories of live shows, including a private party at a south Louisiana plantation on the river.
Thought it was Los Lobos...

I've been around for 46 years, seen literally thousands of live shows and can tell you that, without a doubt, these guys are as talented as anyone I've ever seen and put on a live show second to none.
You should NEVER judge a band from just one listen, if you do then you can't possibly be a true music fan, any band you COULD judge after one listen would never be in it for the long run.
Great music needs to be learned.
"Live at Last" seems to give a pretty good idea of what their live shows are like. It's also a good collection of their work, or at least for me, a good introduction to these guys. (then they broke up, and re-joined, and so on..)

the subdudes are a great litmus for discovering who truly appreciates good music and who just thinks they do.
Well said!

Early front-runner for Post Of The Year.
Great song from a great CD.

Totally not my typical favoured music. But I can admire his voice and enjoy it anyway.
Thanks Bill. One of the best bands of all time. Althoug the version on "Live at Last" is somewhat better at capturing the subdudes sound.
Nobody plays tambourine like Steve Amadee!!
Is it just me, or does this sound like it could be Steve Winwood?
subdudes are cool.
Awesome live band. I love their music. You can also find them playing under the name \"Tiny Town\" sometimes.
Thanks for playing them Bill!
Great music and great name
I love this album, especially this song, thanks Bill and Rebecca, you guys ROCK!!
Awesome. The best live band ever. (Well, them and Los Lobos...) Now known as The Dudes...Thanks Bill.
I love the Subdudes. Thanks for playing them.
