There's nothing wrong with this song, it's just not that interesting.

Piccadilly Whore
Ingredients

Champagne
1/2 shot brandy
Angostura Bitters
Sugar cube
Decorations: cherry and paper umbrella

Method
Put shot and champagne in a fluted champagne glass. Add splash of bitters to the sugar cube and drop into the cocktail to achieve fizzing effect. Decorate glass with a paper umbrella protruding saucily from a cherry.

Been to the Atomium twice, and never realized you could go inside!   Next time, I'll have a couple of Brews from Bruges, and aim for Bruxelles and all the EU office buildings.
Poor Roger to be called out like that.

Me too.
A perfect song to get lost in your own mind <3
This is the song that got me hooked to listening to RP after hearing it many years ago.

Also known for its outstanding wines.

A good red wine, too!

Plenty. Hop over to the band website where you listen to plenty of tracks. I'm a big fan of Belgium's finest, courtesy of RP, and IMO their best CD is No More Sweet Music. Sadly, their previous lead singer has moved on so no more slinky posing in red on the covers, and no more of her seductive, evocative voice. They have a new singer but I don't know what she sounds like, yet.

Any further insight yet, Fred?

Club Montepulciano is what you need...
One of the coolest songs ever! Just the thing to hear before setting out on the bike for downtown music and revelry on Pearl Street...

Great album, peace to all
This song has been on RP since forever and I still dig it when it comes on.
Hooverphonic makes great music...  I♥rp
P.S.
I agree that Montepulciano is a fantastic place, I was lucky enough to ride a motorcycle to the city center this year and stay overnight there during a week long cross country motorcycle trip :  https://floridawaterman.com/2016/09/29/garage-for-motorcycle/
P.P.S.
I disagree with you about the wine though... everybody says the wine there is good, but I didn't care for it.  I prefer wine that tastes like Kool-Aid :)

I heard this song on their concert recording from "Hooverphonic with Orchestra". Noémie Wolfs sounded better, but then the whole tone was different. That was a beautiful concert.

This is an excellent song by one of my favourite bands! Strange though that it exists in two versions: one with vocals by Liesje Sadonius, who sang only on their first album, and the one that's here, with vocals by their second vocalist Geike Arnaert (sadly, she left them in 2009 and there still aren't any signs of life from the band).

Not a fan of the girlie voice, but good song!

Sure! Click the little 'More' by Hoverphonic above. Then click each of the two dozen or so songs that pop up and see what we musical geniuses think of them. Buy the ones we like best and you can't go wrong. Happy listening! :-)

Hale bop!

(As for handcuffs, I have wondered if she's wearing anything under her mac in their other cover photo, Yurrup being Yurrup 'n all.)

gimme a glass of Monte
I keep waiting to see a Japanese tv commercial for something called Blue Wonder Power Milk. Hehe. Most awesome. 8.
The coolest concept group out there. . .

Handcuffs and Hale Bop? Okay, that deserves an explanation.
You remember those weirdos in SoCal some years back who thought the Hale-Bopp comet was bringing some kind of mothership to take them away so they all castrated themselves and committed group suicide? Somehow the two dudes remind me of them, she looks like she's wearing invisible handcuffs. Pretty boring explanation, but there you go.

A cool group that deserves a 7 for this song. But I give them an 8 because they have one of the coolest names in the recording industry!

Outstanding. From Belgium? I guess they dont just make lace doilies and waffles over there anymore, eh?

Montepulciano is a very fine Italian wine appellation.
Love the spaghetti-western guitar. From Belgium no less.

Very nice beat and use of melody, vocals, instruments. Out of the ordinary doesn't necessarily mean better, but this hits the spot. In reference to the outside cafes in Europe, would much rather be in Holland. Spices abound, let's say.
... Comprendie Herr Beastie ... ... The spice trade is sufferin' badly here, might just have to hit the Holland Cafe` scene and not heard set? ...
Has anyone else been able to find this on iTunes? I found Jackie Cain, but can't seem to find this one...

Well, the song is nice but seeing the title and reading the responses...I wish I was in Montepulciano...even if it's raining there. The song's not one of my favorites, but the town (and the wine) is. Chin chin!

I am. Cold, rainy and miserable. Wish I was listening to this someplace where it is sunny and warm.

I like this song and the group, but what is that mumbling in there? Sounds like John Madden.

I just dig Hooverphonic, if you happen to like this song, check the band, it has huge number of as good as and even better songs than this!

C'mon people... a little more creativity with your jokes...kinda GLAD so far...belongs in a garbage bag...
Do they sound like "The Sundays" to anyone else - or is it just me?
I prefer Kenmorphonic.
An aptly named group because..... THEY SUCK!
A recent discovery for me...Thanks to RP. I like Hooverphonic a lot. That "dirty" guitar sound and nice melodies.

With or without the 15-minute drum solo?
Great to hear this here, but not hearing the beautiful chords of Eden follow it up is a major let down
Thank you, this would've plagued me forever...

I really like this song. And the album it comes from is maybe their best. Their first two albums remind me of a happier Portishead. The third is not without it\'s charm. But as with Morcheeba\'s third album, they lost their edge. Became more popish.
Must get this CD! Suspect it is as good as Magnificent Tree! I like the group's uniqueness. Discovered the group in the 1990s in a college-town record store, The Band Box, in Williamsburg, VA, where the owners are very cutting-edge knowledgeable. Sorry I missed the Massive Attack that preceded.
This is terrific! Learned to like something new today!

great sounding song.. I have a cd \"Dreamworld: Essential Late Night Listening\" that has their track \"2 Wicky\" on it.. love that track... and it seems that there is a lot more to them to get aquainted with! Thanks RP !!!
Excellent choice Bill. Would love to hear more Hooverphonic on RP.
