Well, we jumped all night on the trampoline
And when you kissed the sky it made your sister scream
You ate our chips
And you drank our Coke
Then you showed me mars through your telescope

Oh Grace
Save your money for the children
Oh Grace
Save your money for the children
Oh Grace
Save your money for the children
Oh grace
Save your money for the children
Oh grace
Save your money for the children
Oh grace
Save your money, save your money

Well, you sang your songs and you made us laugh
So we captured you in a photograph
And when the stars came out your mother called your name
But when the morning comes we'll get together again

Oh Grace
Save your money for the children
Oh Grace
Save your money for the children
Oh Grace
Save your money for the children
Oh Grace
Save your money for the children
Oh Grace
Save your money for the children
Oh Grace
Save your money, save your money, girl

Save your money
Save your money for the
Save your money for the children
You save your money for the children
Ahhhh

Get an, get an, get an, get an
Get an, get an, get an, get an
Get an, get an, get an, get an

Oh Grace
Save your money for the children
Oh grace
Save your money, save your money, girl

Everybody there's lovin' in part of the game

Thanks!  Grace apparently made a big impression on the boys.
Yeah!! I dig this band!
yet ANOTHER RP epiphany for me.

I’ve lost count of how many musicians RP has introduced to me. Conservatively: thousands,

Long Live Radio Paradise!! 🎉🙏☮️

My last concert immediately before Covid lockdown was Supergrass in Leeds. Great band, great show, great song.
Supergrass, what a band!
After reading the comments I’d say “kid” really has the nick lowe sound.
save your money for the chicken.  This song made me think of KFC the first time I heard it.

I have been doing just that but I am starting to think maybe I should start spending some of their future inheritance on myself...

Very 70s
very, very good.

My theme song for Christmas this year...
I never looked at Supergrass through a Bowie lens before, but I did after your segue from Mott the Hoople. I didn't notice the influence before. Cool.
T-Rex meets the Fab 4!
Clearly I am not destined to do anything terribly constructive this morning, due to the fantastic musical selections. Ah, well.

sounds like a song from the '70s...
I'm not averse to a bit of Supergrass. I like their second album In It For The Money very much, but this track, while fun, is inessential.
Just love this.
I enjoyed the pop/rock of Supergrass, how they shamelessly borrowed from a long litany of mostly Brit pop icons (Bowie, TRex, Beatles, Dave Clark Five...) to maintain their slightly above the radar status these past 17 years. Never took off in the States but understand they had a much larger following throughout Europe. Musical differences again. How sad.
Well, crap. I find a band that I can give a "9" to, and they split up.  RIP, Supergrass. I'll look for you in all your subsequent incarnations, and lament the once-whole.

Agree. I am so grateful to Bill for introducing me to their stellar works. In the top 20, minimum, of new-to-me RP favorites.

It's all over for the "The Grass"...

4/13/10—Britpop veterans SUPERGRASS have finally called it a day - 17 years after forming.

And, yes, in the finest rock tradition they have blamed "musical differences".

The rockers broke through in 1995 with summer hit Alright - including the lyrics "We are young, we run free, Keep our teeth, nice and clean," - when they were fresh-faced youths.

The band, drummer DANNY GOFFEY, frontman GAZ COOMBES, bassist MICK QUINN and keyboard player ROB COOMBES, will play four farewell shows in June starting at Glasgow Barrowlands on June 8.

The group said: "We still love each other but, cliche notwithstanding, musical differences have led to us moving on."

Distressing news. At least they went out on top. Road to Rouen is one of the finest pop albums of the last decade. RIP.

I always think is T-Rex when it comes on.
Damn, haven't heard this one in an age! Rock it, Bill!
Boring in a Stereophonics sort of way.
Like it!
This isn't Squeeze?!  I was shocked to see this was Supergrass, not that it's a bad thing!

This post reminds me of an actual comment from a math challenged individual that I worked with briefly. When told of the sale price of certain product he said, and I quote, "If that's half price I'd hate to know the full price!" {#Lol}

Love this C.D. Thanks again Bill. Without you I don't think I'd have heard of Supergrass.

My three year old daughter loves to dance to this one. She's got a friend with a trampoline and last winter we went out to check out mars most every night. That would be perfect, KALINEVE. Alas, my daughter's name is Claire. However, she turned 8 last week—and still digs her some Supergrass. I throw it on later-day mixes, just for good measure!

Is Vampire Weekend heir to this cheeky sound?

Man, what a sweet segue, from All the Young Dudes into this tune. Awesome, Bill.
love it monkey boy
I love Road to Rouen, but this is pretty meh. They've definitely improved.
"I'm a punk rocker, yes I am."
Good song. GREAT live band!

Reminds me of old T-Rex...But quite likable all the same.
It was hearing Supergrass on RadioParadise that got me to start bying their CDs, and I'm so glad I did. This is why internet radio is important to recording artists. People hear new music, people go buy the CDs.
This F'ing ROCKS.
Yikes!

You had to ask? The Kinks by way of T-Rex - catchy, "turn it up" fun!

Not so much. These guys are creative in ways 98% of today's acts wish they could be.

Man, I just started with Road to Rouen a few weeks ago and love it. I just started listening to In It For the Money this morning on the way to work, and my impression so far is that it is too wild. One man's ceiling is another man's floor, I suppose.

Who the **** are these guys? It's like they are rockin' throwbacks to the 60's or something. Excellent. Give em a 9. Impressive.
Asskicking, simply asskicking song.

Ah, Supergrass...in a perfect world, these guys would have been blasting out of car radios for years!!!
It must be a perfect world then, they've been around for at least 10 years! :)
I've always wanted to hear a Supergrass album that really kicked A, but I'm still waiting. They definately have their moments. Caught by the Fuzz is a great song, the acoustic version is awesome as well.

Yeah, really. "Will and Grace"?
"Will and Grace"?? Yum, bubblelicious!
The deal is that they are just brilliant, as can be seen on all their albums... Give them a spin... ;)
I don\'t know what the deal is with this band, they are not bad, but I would never buy their cd or voluntarily listen to their stuff. Once in a while doesn\'t hurtm but if I listen to it again it might get on my nerves.
The Stones rule, always did, still do
Just plain fun tune! They are opening for Radiohead for the West Palm Beach date, by the by.
Not this again! I haven\'t rated it yet, but I\'m giving it a one. But only because I\'m in a magnanimous mood right now.

Not this again!
Anything that reminds me of Marc Bolan is a good thing. Tasty cut..thanks RP

Plus, more drunk people. Yes, Almost Famous is (sort of) based on Crowe's entree into the music journalism biz, and the band in the film is purportedly meant to be like the Eagles--I've heard--with whom he toured early in his career.
Bleaah.
thanks for this set...good 4 o\'clock wake up juice

This album has a lot of Bowie moments to it actually, its a great album, great band.
Nice beat, good hooks, but the chipmunky voices irritate me.

I finally figured out how you guys make living. I just started listening, and heard Supergrass. Bought the cd on amazon. It is excellent. I will probably be giving amazon alot of business trying new artists that I never would have discovered without RP. I hope amazon gives you a cut.
Supergrass are great
Thank you for playing Supergrass! I can\'t wait to see them again on saturday night! Oohh Caught by the fuzz...
