This reminds me of his '72 song where he says, "The news had just come over...the news guy wept and told us...Earth was really dying...Five years, we've got five years..." yet it's a new composition. DB's songs lit up my teen and college years like few others; to me, his music makes him as close to immortal as a modern man can be../

Listened to an excellent BBC radio production about Mick Ronson focussed largely on his work with Bowie just a night or two ago.  Was a great little show.

David Bowie playing and singing straight. That's pretty unusual in itself, that he's not doing something unusual and quirky. Which makes a nice change, for all that I like his 'idiosyncracies'. Had I not seen the song listing I'd never have guessed it was himself. 7 from the Nottingham jury.
