Bet you got it all planned right
Bet you never worry
never even feel a fright
Bet you got it all planned right
Never think to worry
never even feel a fright.

Single sleeps alone
and I know you don't really mind
Five years by your side
so I know you really don't mind

But don't you never be down
I said don't ever
'Cause it's gonna keep 'em hanging around

Never be down
I said don't ever
Because it's gonna keep 'em hanging around

Don't you never think it's right
Bet you think you had to but it doesn't feel right
Bet you never think it feels right
Famous-sounding words make your head feel light

Petals getting picked
with the love-yous
and the love-you-nots

Five years going by
Everyone is staying on their side

But don't you never be down
I said don't ever
Because you're gonna keep 'em hanging around

Never be down
I said don't ever
Because it's gonna keep 'em hanging around.

But don't you never be down
I said don't ever
Because it's gonna keep 'em hanging around

Five years going by
Everyone is staying on their side

Never be down
I said don't ever
cause it's gonna keep 'em hanging around

Five years going by
everyone is staying on their side

I said don't ever need to worry
cause it's gonna feel all right

Never

After seeing this video, I bought one on eBay. It’s fun to play this song to it and watch it dance!
Hey Jim.   Jim.    Hey Jim.  Do something to make the opening of this tune annoying as hell.
Jim
Jim

are you listening Jim?
Record that, Jim.  "That".

OMG i love this and i want one!
i could listen to them all day. love spoon.
Spoon's first few albums contain many excellent songs. This one had one - the last cut.

Great video - nice little break
For me, my overall impression of Spoon is that I love them.

everybody owes the Beatles.
I really hope he's saying, "because the garlic keeps 'em hanging around".  I'm not going to check the lyrics.  I don't want to be disappointed.
Clapping songs. Never been a good one.
Thought it was Beck.
I hear very little actual music being played in this song. Morse code is more musically entertaining.

My overall assessment of Spoon: meh
Love it!  Great album overall.
For me (for me, not for you), Spoon is in a genre I like to call "StupidPresumptuousPop".
Good band - great album - good song = 7.5

Nice segue from Bowie's "Sound and Vision" to this one.

I guess we all hear different things.  This sounds very little like any Beatles' song that I can think of.   Which song were you thinking of?

Bollocks.  He needs to clear his throat.  Can't cure the whiny thing though; that's probably genetic.

Getting tired of listening to it... cause it's catchy and then I got it all day long in my head!!

Saw them with Beck last month - they were great! Turned me on to more of their music for sure.
The more I hear it, the more I like it.
Thank you Bill and RP for turning me on to this album. I have it in my car and just happened to be listening to it on my drive into work this morning.

I think this is the coolest twanging thing since I don't know when, and when I saw them croon and swing their beats at Daikanyama in spring I was in total sonic ecstasy...  They were very down to earth, and asked us, Hey where's a good place to go after this? and the advice flew and they weren't kidding; they listened — and the young Yokhama hottie who was my date got way into them on the spot and asked me for their catalogue!  Hard to argue THEY ARE COOL, COOL, COOL...

Got a good beat and you can dance to it.
Great Austin Band...but getting overplayed, esp. on the car radio...used to could see them for free when they played for tips!  But, I guess that's true for every band.  They're cool.
9, cuz its superb
7. Quite dancable.
How can you not love this effing genius indie rock band from Austin,Texas? Support your local bands when they rock!!!

Kinda Beck-y at first...
I want to like this song, but the raspy voice really turns me off.
I've gone from indifference to actually liking this one quite a bit. That is until I hear it a few more dozen times, anyway.

This is a seriously groovy groove that just makes me want to bob my head and move.
So who's ripping who off on the hook? Drove me crazy and finally figured it out... Spoon - Don't You Evah or Pinback - Fortress? About as bad as Vanilla Ice and Bowie...

This song keeps growing on me. I dig.
I'm a bit of a late convert to Spoon, but I'm sold now! Going to see them in Newport KY in April. Can't wait!
