It was around 2002 I got turned on to Eels, right here on RP, and I have to say they are a fantastic band!  Mr. E is quite the songwriter!

I was only half listening when this started playing but near the end, with the lyrics, the music caught my attention. I listened to the whole thing with headphones on and for me, found it to be an amazing, but simple song. One that has a message that is easily forgotten. I forget all the time and I know my time if very limited; so I need to remember, "it's time to live".

"I was at a funeral" - yep, sounds like it, mate. A bit more zip in the voice might fit with the upbeat lyrics. A few more notes in the tune would add variety too. 3 from the somnolent Nottingham jury {#Sleep}

I don't remember ever having heard this one. Very nice, and it doesn't suck that me 'n Z 'n The Mo are portrayed in the cover art.

After "Novacaine for the Soul," this is one of the first songs I heard from the Eels.  Several albums later, I'm still on board.

Kinda reminds me of Modest Mouse (good music & quirky lyrics but still creative enough to follow).

Thanks for playing this one Bill! This is a perfect ending track for an amazing album. It's a great stand alone track, but as the ending track for Electro-Shock Blues it is outstanding. It ends an album filled with pain and loss on a great note of hope, and I highly suggested anyone interested in EELs to pick up Electro-Shock Blues for a great intro to the band!
