Darling, stop confusing me
With your wishful thinking
Hopeful embraces
Don't you understand?
I have to go through this
I belong to here
Where no one cares
And no one loves
No light, no air to live in
A place called hate
The city of fear

I play dead
It stops the hurting
I play dead
And the hurting stops

It's sometimes just like sleeping
Curling up inside my private tortures
I nestle into pain
Hug suffering
Caress every ache

I play dead
It stops the hurting

A great song.  Magnificently twisted, tortured lyrics.
The best ever Bond theme song.  Shame it's not a Bond theme song.

Accurate but probably not reflective of actual usage. See the broader definition from the wiki page pasted below:

Scandinavia[b] (/ˌskændɪˈneɪviə/ SKAN-di-NAY-vee-ə) is a subregion in Northern Europe, with strong historical, cultural, and linguistic ties.

In English usage, Scandinavia can refer to Denmark, Norway, and Sweden, sometimes more narrowly to the Scandinavian Peninsula, or more broadly to include the Åland Islands, the Faroe Islands, Finland, and Iceland.[3][a]

The broader definition is similar to what are locally called the Nordic countries, which also include the remote Norwegian islands of Svalbard and Jan Mayen, and Greenland, a constituent country within the Kingdom of Denmark.[4]

Ha. I've done that one. I've also heard a song I liked, went to see who it is and found that at some point back there I rated it a '2'. I shake my head and say "I must have been in a crabby mood that day".

 Right?

oh that baseline and those breathless vocals what a heady mix   love it...

If I ever heard a 10, this is it. Great song by an artist with unlimited bounds.
Those violins
Listening to Bjork reminds me of what it might have been like to compete in Fear Factor, the song starts and I'm like "I can listen to this, I can do it... and sometimes I can, and sometimes I just bail, chicken out or simply barf up the unidentified critter parts that this song resembles.... maybe next time.
This is really one of the best pop songs I know.
I'd like to write something less over the top... I'm just enamored with her.
My fav of hers

Posted 2 weeks ago by garyevans I concur... but no judgement is being given here - just to be clear. Herb Music = Bliss (even if ya don’t remember all the wee details!)

Another poster mentioned her "horny growling".  I love her voice and her talent grabs me from time to time.  There's a lot of discardable material amongst it, but when it's good it's very good ...
Bjork is total badass on the mic!
Have never heard a Bjork song I liked. This continues that trend.
Magnificent!

Love her or hate her (and she is indeed a Marmite singer), she is marvellously unique. Thank you, you bonkers Icelandic pixie.

Bond would never be the same.....and that's a good thing

This song is good for the ears...

Icelandic caterwauling . . . and yet there's something there that catches the ear . . .
That baseline...
Kill it with fire!

Thanks for clearing that up.  What about Greenland and The Faroe Islands?
This song made me remember why I liked the Sugarcubes, long ago.
In a parallel universe, this, Duffy's "Rain on your Parade", Amy Whitehouse's "Back to Black" and Yello & Shirley Bassey's "Rhythm Devine" are all Bond themes.
And Clive Owen is Bond.
See on hea.
Everything about Bjork's persona rubs me the wrong way. That swan dress? I mean, come on! But I do like her music, and I guess that's what counts. Thanks to RP for giving me the opportunity to listen to it, because I wouldn't have done so otherwise.

Even I can't bother remembering all that stuff, and I'm from Sweden.

No one would believe this but.. i actually like Bjork!    Rock on girl!

{#Clap}
Never heard this. vEry cool.
I think the bass player really makes the tune.
Aside from Bjorks beautiful growl.
Darling....you make beautiful music  {#Hearteyes}

I do not like is not the same as bad.  I just don't rate songs like this.

Preach it bro! I can reproduce her voice by hitting one of my cats with something repeatedly and to the beat. However, my cats would get no royalty checks, does not seem fair.{#Headache}
she's weird and like her and her music.
I liked the Sugarcubes, and I'm surprised she has shown so much talent after the band. The band was good, but nothing new or innovative, like Bjork is constantly coming up with.

best bjork rating i've ever given.

Just gave this a 10 because I like the fact that only 1 other person rated it... and gave it a ten. :) Who am I to interfere? ;)

One of my favorite Bjork tunes. Way to go, Bill!
Her voice gives me goose-pimples. Such a powerful sound for such a small woman :). 8 from the Nottingham jury.
Hmmm...
