This is the first song that made me a diehard Dandy Warhol fan. I want to learn the banjo when I retire.

The Dandies are a great band, and fabulous in concert. They just returned from a European tour and will be hitting the road to a stage near you soon. Don't miss them if you have an opportunity to go!

Cool song. Wondering .. why the brief ATC snippet at the end? Doesn't seem connected to the song.

Another one that has been growing on me lately. I at first thought the instrumentals to be too repetitious and made it seem boring. Now I'm hearing it from a somehow different perspective—think Glass in "Drumming"—and it is far more interesting.

"Les Dandy Warhols font un retour fracassant avec ce 6ème LP, Earth To The Dandy Warhols qui regroupe les divers sons et influences qui caractérisent depuis toujours leur musique. Pied de nez à l industrie du disque le groupe a décidé de s'affranchir des majors et de sortir cet album sur son propre label, self-founded Beat the World Records label.
Avec les participations de Mark Knopfler (Dire Straits) et Mike Campbell (Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers)."

Yup, I agree... And I believe the Dandies, Courtney Taylor in particular, are responsible for the production. They need to hand over future production duties to someone else.
The band sure did seem to have a good time recording this album, though. Lots of trippy, psychedelic songs on this one. BTW, I would call the production muddy and muffled sounding rather than tinny (the word an earlier poster used to describe the sound).
Well, the master tapes are sitting somewhere. Maybe one day someone could give them a clean and polish and we can listen to the the music as it was intended.

Is it me, or is it that there is some Collinish (Phil) tone there?

Really nice tune! However, it sounds kinda tinny to me - wonder if that's due to low mp3 quality or poor production values? Maybe CD owners can shed light on this?

I thought this was a cover of Lady, until I listened to the rest of the lyrics and saw the name of the song. Speaking of LRB, I saw them headline a "Summer Sunday" concert at Empire Stadium in Vancouver back in the 80s. Any other Vancouverites remember those shows? Great times. Now we've got concerts at Deer Lake park, but I miss Empire Stadium.
this love song sure borrows lyrical content... "Take time, make time to be there" from Lady by the Little River band... "blister in the sun" from Violent Femmes... hell even the title "Love Song" can be attributed to other bands such as Tesla...it's like an amalgamation... yeah, that's it!
