I got a dream in my head
just waiting for the day
just waiting for the day to be born

I got a seed in my hand
just looking for a way
just looking for a way to grow strong

And I crossed the water
I crossed the land
I let other people lead me blind
and I searched for answers
wanting to find
a way to reveal what lies behind

I have the strongest feeling that I should try
I got to know myself, now I could cry
this is the end of pretending, now I know why
I had to lose my shell, I no longer try to hide

I've got a story to tell
just waiting for the day
just waiting for the day to be told

I got this anger and pain
just waiting for my shame
just waiting for my blame to get old

I saw some children playing with guns
I can't believe what we've become
And I found some letters, written by god
but they were signed with our own blood

And I have the strongest feeling that I decide
I got to know myself, now I could die
this is the end of the way that led me to lie
now I might lose myself, but no longer need to hide
so I might lose myself, but I no longer, no longer need to hide

And I have the strongest feeling that I decide
I got to know me better, now I could die
this is the end of the way that led me to lie
now I might lose myself, but no longer need
no longer need, no longer need
see, I no longer need to hide

Or a female Jeff Buckley
Bit of Flo in that voice
I was about to give this a 7, and realised that I'd already given it ... a 7.  Well, as Emerson said, "A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds"

I'm hearing something like an Israeli accent as well. Very nice. 8 on a first listen.

Wait, this is the "New Soul" singer?
Nice.
Not a one-hit-wonder artist after all.
boring

She sounds more soulful than Florence to me - at least in this tune.

And what's wrong with that?!
This is really good. I hear echoes of Dusty Springfield.
Sounds a fair bit like Nerina Pallot.
Dang but she has some serious range. Nice tune! Open with a 7 from South Billyburg.

Nice "new" track, BillG!  At first this hit me as a 6, though she gets into the song quickly, sounding a bit like ZZ Ward without the quirky voice, +2 right away call it an 8 now...Long Live RP and Happy Friday to all!!

I had to check to see if it was her or not.
