We'll do it all
Everything
On our own
We don't need
Anything
Or anyone

If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?
Forget what we're told
Before we get too old
Show me a garden that's bursting into life

I don't quite know
How to say
How I feel
Those three words
Are said too much
They're not enough

If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?
Forget what we're told
Before we get too old
Show me a garden that's bursting into life

Let's waste time
Chasing cars
Around our heads
I need your grace
To remind me
To find my own

If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?
Forget what we're told
Before we get too old
Show me a garden that's bursting into life

All that I am
All that I ever was
Is here in your perfect eyes, they're all I can see
I don't know where
Confused about how, as well
Just know that these things will never change for us at all

If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?
Forget what we're told
Before we get too old
Show me a garden that's bursting into life

If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?

Ughh. Yet another cover!

this cover has grown on me

cover has grown on me too, but not necessarily the song.
in general, a good cover should try and do something that improves the original, not tears the backside out of it.
the rhythm is off the beats too fast. Just doesn’t work. Would much prefer to hear the original played as much as this is. 🙄
Stick to the original please.
this cover has grown on me
A rather mediocre cover. Give me the original any day.
I really like SP's original but I like this take.  It doesn't have the power of the original but I like her breathy take.

Imagine Delores from the Cranberries doing a more powerful version.
Cover after cover after cover on RP!
In my opinion this doesn't have a fraction of the soul or emotion of the original. Would be interested to hear the rationale for including it on the playlist.

7 -> 8: awesome cover!

Lazy and pointless,  what is different or new?

Don't label honesty as negativity just because it's an opposing opinion...
I do like their voices although I prefer the original.
NICE!
7 -> 8: awesome cover!
I'm up-voting a solid 8, maybe Sophie will see my interest and ask me on a date
IMO this cover was like a perfunctory run through without adding something artistically interesting to their rendition, if anything they seemed out of sync expressing the wistful mood & tone of the lyrics with an odd tempo and other miscues.  Granted most covers don't supersede the original but some are creative enough to be enjoyable, but not this one, a complete miss and annoying to listen to.

I disagree, it's very different than the original, they have their own take on this song, though I was very (pleasantly) surprised that they could produce something like this. I think it stands out more than the original.

It completely misses the mood of the text and is a very mediocre rendition. Nothing against ST but this was a miss.
Non-fat milk.
Yoooo play some of their other music, it is so much better than this! Love these guys. <3
Too mellow. Better the original which embodies the feeling of the text.
I like their stuff, but their covers really don't do it for me.

A truly lame version of this song.

A truly lame version of this song.
I know some people said they don't expect this out of ST but I think that is why I like it so much.
My fave band, their own music is fab. This cover, not so much, too mellow for them (although I do love Snow Patrol too). I'd love to see them live!
Great song with lots of great covers, but I'm partial to the The Wind and the Wave cover that played on Grey's Anatomy: https://youtu.be/M-7A0g8Y0OA

We could use some The Wind and the Wave on RP!

To be honest, this is a cover that nobody needed.  Solid "2".

its the same weird style a lot of covers of pop songs get these days. they dont really change a lot but make it artificial, almost feels like a workaround to profit off a song the second time?
A pleasant enough little tune. I would like to have heard more creativity/variation with the drum programming.

weird. some people must have taken their 10 back as it's just showing 10 votes at 10.

The Snow  Patrol original is snoresville, and sadly this is no improvement. Aural Mogadon

It's OK.  Snow Patrol's original was classic and much better.

It's funny that 20 people rated this a "10".  They were like "GUYS, NOW I HAVE FINALLY HEARD SOMETHING BETTER THAN 'SHINE ON YOU CRAZY DIAMOND'".

The original by Snow Patrol was a lot better.
Does anyone else hear Belly?

Love Sofi Tukker but not sure I'm a fan of this mellower direction. Are they trying to be all grown up now? Drinkee etc kick major derriere but this is kind of meh. They're great live btw.

Dear time wasting fuckwitted haters… You should get a hobby like in a place that doesn’t “yuck someone elses yum”

If a comments section is only allowed to have positive contributions, it isn't really serving a purpose.  I like Sofi Tucker but this is not their finest moment.  Your comment wasn't yours either.
Can someone wake up the male singer? 7—>3 when he came in.

This is a little on the tame side for them IMHO...but is a cover of SP's tune. Check out their "Hello Lion" and the more air-played "Drinkee" for some fun!

yeah, i love Sofi Tukker usually. this isn't one of my favs. drinkee and purple hat and so many others really caught my attention and made me want to hear more. this is like muzak.
The artwork is more interesting than the song.

This is just awful.
Yeah, not even a good cover. So, why?
I love these guys… I also love Snow Patrol. So two things I enjoy wrapped in one package and done well
Not Snow patrol!!  Sorry, sacrilegious!

Never heard of this band. Interesting cover of the Snow Patrol original. I'll open at a 7, since it is better than the 6 given by the only other review.

They put on a great live show.
