I agree that I'd much prefer to hear the original. This version just doesn't have that X-factor to it.
Love this song, but I'd rather hear the original version.
I'm surprised I would rate any Clapton/Cream song 3, but this version is so inferior to the studio version that I had to bite the bullet and do it.
Opps - I take it back about the instrumentation - like a lot of Clapton material it does get a bit tedious at the end (eh?)
Usually like live recordings of awesome songs, but this one is lacking. Needs Jack Bruce.
Love the song - but for this song Clapton's voice and the backing vocals just don't cut it.
Too bad, becuase the instrumentation is excellent.
The recording quality of this live version is pretty bad!
Jack Bruce- and not Eric Clapton deserves to get the credits of writing (together with Pete Brown) and singing the song, in the first place. Like with most of the great Cream songs, for which Clapton was overrated, by the way. At first, I also thought that Clapton was writing and singing the Cream songs, because of the \'Clapton is god\' thing and maybe not expecting the bassplayer to sing (that good), which wasn\'t, apart from Paul McCartney, usual.
