What an amazing songscape, what an amazing suite of Masterpiece Music! Hearing it now, hearing it then, the things I didn't know then, the things I wish I didn't know now, the things I wish I hadn't doubted then, the things I now know without a doubt... WOW. TIMELESS!

It also amazing that this was recorded only 6 years after they released "I Saw Here Standing There" (1963). ...you know what I mean!! 
GREAT TUNE! GREAT ALBUM! It is amazing that this was THE LAST RECORDING that the Beatles made, even though it was released before the "Let it Be" album. A great way to go out! Than You RP!

This was the last studio recording by the Beatles. What a way to go out! Let it Be was recorded prior to Abby Road, even though iit was released after it.

53 years old, and it still fits in like it could have been written today It's hard to match the timeless brilliance of this album.

I absolutely love it when you play the whole side of abbey road! I’m always moved back to my adolescence, and i always listen completely through
I had a great Craig 8-track player with home stereo speakers in my little Rambler station wagon in the early 70's. We parked in the shadows and stayed up all night listening to this over and over. Didn't take much to connect me to myself back in those days. Just music pushing shadows. Moving and breathing. Never lost in the darkness...

How can anyone at least not admire these icons. Even my stuffy creative writing instructor compared much of the Beatles lyrics with T.S. Eliot and others. Who knows, maybe they took a few ideas from the old masters. Talk about prolific writing. Also must have been difficult for four dudes to get on as much time as they spent together. Eventually, it did fall apart, but not before massive amount of hits.

I can remember hearing this when I was about twelve or thirteen, so it would have been out for a year or so. I thought it was absolutely brilliant. This album is probably the gold standard above which no others can surpass.

Reading the comments for "Because" that played right before this, it seems it's a sacrilege to only play one song from side 2. Lo and behold here comes the rest of Side 2 in it's entirety (sans "Her Majesty"), well played.

I LOVE THIS ENTIRE ALBUM!!!!!!! ...This was the LAST album that the Beatles recorded! ...Let it Be was recorded prior to Abbey Road, even though it was released after it! ...What an excellent way to go out!!!

George, Paul and John (in that order) trading solos at The End is the best. George's light touch, Paul's great melodic lines, and John (the rocker) digging in. The only thing better is Paul's last lyric in what would become the last song of their last studio album, "And in the end the love you take is equal to the love you make." Brilliant.

Never/rarely seen footage, interviews, and priceless tidbits (e.g., refusing to play in Jacksonville, when they discovered the audience would be segregated, etc.!) Not a full anthology (how cool would THAT be?), this film focuses on the touring years only, but a mesmerizing, emotionally-charged rockumentary about these awkward boys from Liverpool being groomed (literally) into the world’s first Rock Superstars.
I’ve seen it a half dozen times and would gladly watch it a half dozen more.
