Nightjar and the nightingale
I'm still awake because of you
Well I guess that's what her kisses do
Oh we're sharing summers stories with the wide eyed moon
There are dreamers in those chestnut trees
They sing to me life's mysteries
And like the keepsake of those memories
Of the long hot days and the honey bees
Well tell tale nightingale
You've seen it all, you sing it better than me
You've seen it all, you sing it better than me
Well quick somebody hold my glass
I can't let it pass, it fades so fast
And I just want today to last
And that surprising little spell she cast
We walked a mile and sat a while
In tawny grass, and we just laughed
And we listened to the summer birds
Oh they always seem to find the words
Well tell tale nightingale
You've seen it all, you sing it better than me
You've seen it all, you sing it better than me
I'm still awake because of you
Well I guess that's what her kisses do
Oh we're sharing summers stories with the wide eyed moon

I like that it starts out sounding a bit like The Pogues' "Tuesday Morning", and I love how it feels so poignant and soothing! I also think that Nature dreams
Dang that's a pleaser

Absolutely lovely arrangement. New artist to me. Thank you!
Interesting time signature(s) going on here ...
The music makes me think of Gregory Alan Isakov. Different voice though. I like them both.
How perfect this is after Robert Plant and REM (which I dislike both).

Great segue from Anna Ternheim.

A very nice album from a good artist 👍
I love this song and tunes about our natural world
Great segue from Anna Ternheim.
Egad! A John Hyatt imitator! Not perfect, though. This one can actually sing and has decent production.
Roo gets me hopping :o)
This has a The National vibe to me.

It´s the second Time i listened to this song. It´s wonderful, so my 7 became an 8!
Thought this was a very mellow Frank Black.

Now,this is very nice😎
Cool tune, and nice album art. In case you've never heard it, here's the sound of a nightjar.
I love that sound.

The tracks I've heard so far are great. A purchase coming up. Again...
Bill's playing quite a few new artists lately. Me like!
Cool lyrics...heard this track a few times now and it always piques my attention...maybe the banjo?
That's a good song. Thanks!
