I'm really glad I came across RP a couple of years back because on the whole the quality of music is excellent, and the taste really is eclectic such that every day I'm surprised, very pleasantly so, by the playlist. On occasions there are runs of tunes that are just stonking, so good that it stops me leaving work on time and brightens up the whole day. On rarer occasions, there are runs that are exactly the opposite and make even the sunniest day dull, and sadly this is the 10th number in such a run, the highest ranking in which has been a 4. I can take the rough with the smooth and there'll be some who'd sell their first born for the latest sequence, but I'm in danger of falling asleep at the keyboard here. C'mon, Bill and Becky, let's have some ZIP! Please!

Great song -- from a great album. This is Frank's most personal work, and it can be heart-wrenching to listen closely to it. For this Frank Black/Pixies fan, it's his finest solo work to date. Listen especially to "My Life Is In Storage." Wow.

Today, I am leaving North Carolina for BurningMan. I am driving solo after two back out's by my cousin and my friend. My cousin told me last week he was not going. Over the weekend my childhood friend said he would go. This morning before we are supposed to go, he calls me and says he is not longer going. It was funny. He told me," I can take this. I did manuvears in the Sinai. Its been a long time since I've bivouac'd."
What the fsck ever.
Even more odd was that before this Issac Hayes - Walk on By played. I am going to Burning man because I was married for nearly 20 years and I am now divorced. I am taking my issues and burning them in the sand. I got the last set of pics of her and put them in order. From the first set we took to the last set. You can see the procession. Anyway, its over now. When I get back it starts a new.
