Agreed, not only is the voice similar, but I can imagine these lyrics being his, too. Can't say I'm waiting to hear it again, but that's a really low composite rating! As low as I can recall seeing, and it certainly wasn't THAT bad.

The clear, clean vocals and the pop horns backing are just a delight. I got their album as part of a yearlong “every Warner release” prize and was one of the keepers. Every time I hear them now, it brings back fond memories.

Same here (the 6 rating) though my eyes first saw the name "Danny Wilson" and my first thought was "the Seattle Mariners long time catcher Dan Wilson put a record out?" - I guess the Steely Dan vibe is closer....so call it a 5 +1 for the DAN influences....Long Live RP and sophisti-pop artists!!

I thought at first I was listening to a parody when this came on. Kept waiting for the punch line...
Even the lovely trumpet can't save this one.
I imagine this could be the worse nightmare of a teenage metalhead...but I like it
