Totally had the same thought when I came back into the room and heard second half.  I like it and Apples in Stereo is the perfect name.

This has The Beatles all over it.  And I like it.  Interesting that the band/song name seem to evoke the Beatles comparison, and the vocal effect and drumming sound like it was off an unreleased track from Sgt. Peppers.   I like it.
