I guess I kinda remember when this came out (and tripping on the refinery-type pipe-maze cover pic) but I admit I was still so hooked on Pyramid, I Robot, and TMI that I barely gave this a listen, compared to those seminal legacy-binders...hearing it a few times on RP recently makes me recall how great, influential, and important they were!

Dunno, thinking of King Crimson, Yes, Kraftwerk, and ELP, to name a few who preceded Alan Parson and had commercial success. I do like Parson but IMHO, he may have been more second wave.
Some of the comments aren't very complimentary of Mr. Parson's and his music. I'll point out that AP was among the first to have commercial success with synthesizers in his songs. He was a groundbreaker.

Not sure about that... Gary Wright's "Dreamweaver" knocked it out of the park in 1975 or 1976, and then Steve Miller's "Fly Like An Eagle" album in 1976 was loaded with them.

Surprising.
Thx, Bill!
Thx, Bill!
Not listened to this CD for ages - thanks Bill - forgotten how good Alan Parsons is - but then he did have good teachers at Abbey Road and working with PF in the early days - isn't there a track on an old PF album about Alan making the breakfast!!
Aggressively bland.
Deliciously cheesy.
Saw Alan Parsons live for the first time in november 2017 in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. It was an awesome experience hearing a live performance of music I had played for about 3 decades...
I am a big fan of APP. 2 fantastic concept albums Tales of Mystery and Imagination and I Robot... Love them! I am dumbfounded that this album came out in '83 and I never heard about it... FM radio for ya! Thanks Bill! solid 9
Upping my rating +1 to an 8.
Nice tune! Another first for me on RP.
Got to love the'Favourite' channel!..... Get to hear this stuff...
What to say but, play more Alan Parsons. Most songs would fit in very nicely here.
