Baby thinks he's dying
Lost inside his bedroom
Mommy won't stop crying
And daddy's always working

There's no going back
There's no going back
There's no going back
On this one

Baby wakes up with the sun
While everyone is sleeping
He thinks he's going crazy
But this could be the big one

There's no going back
There's no going back
There's no going back

Sleeping with ghosts
It's such a lonely experience
The stars are out tonight
Only they can hear you breathing

You're so like a rose
You're so like a rose
You're so like a rose
I wish you could stay here

A ruby red gem.
It's a shame so much american rock (in particular) feels it has to be propped up by a lumpen, portentous beat and by-the numbers, overextended adolescent riffs.
Not crazy about the song, but the Fripp-like guitar sounds are cool. She has a nice voice. Too bad the song is so depressing and weak.
I have to say I've never been much of a Garbage fan - but this track is gorgeous. It reminds me of Mazzy Star or something. I can't understand all the negative postings about it.
I like it....but then again it kinda approximates my frame of mind right now.
yer all punks!! this is damn fine tune
Brilliant band with many, many great songs. This isn't one of them. More Garbage, less this!! <-X
please ply brmc after this. it's a perfect segue, you know.
Butch Vig needs to take a bold step into this decade and develop a new sound for his guitar. The guitar work here sounds frighteningly reminiscent of his work with Smashing Pumpkins in "Siamese Dream" 10 years ago!
I like this. Different than the first album I have, but in many ways, better.

Loved Garbage's first 2 albums, but this third one was hit-and-miss. It almost reaches brilliance in spots, but any good song usually just leads to a dissapointing one next. This song seems like a poor attempt to recreate some of the stuff they had early on, when the songs on this album that worked best were the ones that sounded different from what they'd done in the past. This song just makes me want to go pull out the old CDs and listen to Milk.
I totally agree. This disk was SEVERELY disappointing for someone like me who really dug the first two disks.

The part in the middle reminds me of "Dumb and Dumber," that is, "you wanna hear the most annoying sound in the world?" Must control urge to beat self on head.....
It really is garbage
ZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
is this Shirley Manson\'s attempt at channelling Margo Timmins :p
This doesn\'t sound anything like the Garbage stuff I\'ve heard before. But then I\'ve only really heard the hits. Interesting.
This is such a depressing song!! A 2 is as high as I could go.
