No rocket's gonna fly that high
There's no escaping the enemy, it's you and I
We've poisoned up the water
We're chokin' on the air
Let's stop before it gets too late
Or is it already too late?
Is it already too late?

For the victims of comfort
Got no one else to blame
We're just the victims of comfort
Connosuiers of pain

It's a technological merry-go-round
Dangerous illusions buried under the ground
And everyone likes a party
But know one wants to clean
Well I'd like to see a change somehow
But I'm a little busy right now
Just a little busy right now

I'm just a victim of comfort
I got no one else to blame
I'm just a victim of comfort
A cryin' shame

Oh and what do we got to lose?
Everything
Yes and what do we stand to gain?
Everything, so lets try together
Before we have to cry together
It's too soon to die together

I'm just a victim of comfort
Got no one else to blame
I'm just a victim of comfort
Connosuier of pain
We were victims of comfort
Got no one else to blame
I'm just a victim of comfort
Cryin' shame

This is a great album. Good to hear any track off of this. His cover of "Come on in my Kitchen" is just. .....bitchen!
Keb' Mo's awesome talent and finesse puts me in a "Dangerous Mood"   : )   his album with Taj Mahal is wicked too (TajMo #kebmo)
Fantastic performer and great, natural soul. Give him a chance everyone!
Really learning to appreciate Mr. Mo. Is that Ry Cooder ramblin' around back there?
Heavy-handed.

I hear the guitar riff that's reminiscent of Richard Thompson, but Keb Mo always struck me as a pretty shallow/average song-writer (unlike Thompson).
You are talking apples and oranges. I agree that Keb doesn't do the "English Folkie" thing as well as Thompson, but why should he? Keb is a bluesman, which Thompson is not, and when it comes to heartfelt blues Keb has Delta mud up to his neck whereas Thompson is prancing around in a silk Carnaby Street puffy-shirt. Keb is a fresh new talent in the blues, a revered musical form which is losing its aging leaders in bushels. Plus, Keb has very thoughtful lyrics, if you care to listen. (to wit, in the current song, "everyone likes a party, but no one wants to clean.") Other than that, you're entitled to your opinion I guess. <-X
Ain't nothin alarmin about it, amigo. We in a heap o' mess. Go Keb go Eul0gy wrote:

Charisma nd talent well blended..mising that blues edginess thou...gave him a 6
Great, great album. A keeper for sure.
Saw him play at the Botanical Gardens. Just him and his guitar, no band. Very intimate show. Loved all of his songs reduced to the simplest elements.
Keb Mo reverts to Kevin Moore. Eh.
Enviromental alarmist rhetoric! yaY!
I saw him in concert this July and BOY he was AWESOME... plus his charisma is off the charts!!!
Come on! Play some of his better songs. Try "Am I Wrong". But he's great, love his music. Nice and mellow blues
Ok, Blues Snobs, all together now... What do you get when a New York film director presents a guy who learned blues songs to get a part in a play? um, pretty good music, actually. It is what it is.
