Where else in the world (universe, even) might one hear this extraordinary confection immediately after alt-J's "Breezeblocks"?
There is only ONE TUNE by him on the RP Playlist.  PLEASE ADD MORE!  Thank You.

When I listen to this I escape and imagine I am stranded in the desert for days. The sun is beating down and have a constant tune in my head but I drift off in different directions as the mirages change as I cross every dune. Then boom it ends,

Hehe - first thing I thought too :)
Yawnsville Central. The bus station at Yawnsville. The "Take a book leave a book" book rack at Yawnsville bus station. At 2AM. On a Thursday morning. This is more interesting than that song was. But just a little bit.

It's alright... it just never goes anywhere.  It's like they re-cut the entire song and spliced it together like a quilt.

Did anyone ever level the same complaint against Bohemian Rhapsody?
sugary overdose. just too sweet to enjoy, almost intolerable...
I'm beginning to think this might not be a real song
I swear I heard "Tenderly".
It does sound like a few songs melded into one, but it is done so beautifully that I enjoy the end result as much as I do each individual piece {#Good-vibes}

Why does all music have to go somewhere?  I don't particularly feel very strongly about this song, but it doesn't sound spliced.

I dunno and I'm not sure about going anywhere but I think I see why they say spliced.  There is some nice music here and one particular theme I really like but it does sort of sound like several very different songs at times clumsily linked together.

Why does all music have to go somewhere?  I don't particularly feel very strongly about this song, but it doesn't sound spliced to me.  We all hear different things, though.
exactly where was the beautiful violin? {#Tongue}

something diffrent but still sensitve to western tastes and very mellow.
One mans fiddle is another mans violin! I happen to like both!{#Boohoo}

Go away Claude! Quickly!

Inspector Gadget, its been too many years since I have seen him!  Yes!
Although not a favorite of mine, it is a nice piece of music to listen to together with a cup of coffee in the sunset.

Your getting sleepier, sleepier, sleepier........Good, now when you awake you will think you are a chicken..............
On any other day this may be acceptable or better but today - sigh.
Sublime
It's A Beautiful Day of violins all the way to this.  {#Boohoo}

I'm really enjoying the mood of this piece.  It has a story for sure.

Yeah, I dug this. Very nice sound and feeling on the violin.

I like the sound. Chalhoub is found on many "mix" CDs including "Buddha Bar".

This is talent. Skill combined with a craftful experimentation. Not perfect but certainly creative in producing some new sounds. Experimentation of the art is the art.

I don't know. I like purely good music, would that make me a purist? This is quite good

Correct spelling: Melancholia. Okay, okay...I'm being a bit nerdy here...

Fascinating song but the guys from Queer Eye for the Straight Guy would have a heart attack over Mr. Chalhoub's monobrow.

Perfect chill music. I give it a nine.
Not particularly my style, but not bad, I give it a 4
If I wasn't at work I could really appreciate and listen to this.
Or else play something sleepy by Loreena McKennitt.
Play Sleeping by The Band.
Unusual. Gets a tentative "yes."
Radio Paradise in one track! Love it.
How many transitions does this song have? Great piece of music.
A little hard to dance to.... but it's different in a good way - adds to the excellent banquet of diversity on this station.. pakoenen wrote:

You know... Claude Chalhoub.... Tony Chalhoub... the tv show "Monk". I think he was making a (leap) funny.

You might want to check behind you... I think something flew over your head.
Actually this guy plays a Stradivarius violin, lent to him by the stradivarius trust... that alone is a mark of his talent, as those guys don't give away their precious violins easily...!!! :-({|=
Don't wake me up?? Wake me when it's over is a better name.
OoooOO VIOLIN!!! i wanna go ride a camel in the desert now. :crown.gif: oooo very nice transitions.
I am in love!

That would be the cello 'Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon' soundtrack. This is so cross-genre. Latin, African, Italian, Classical, East Indian, the list goes on. Amazing.

It's almost like a (tame) John Zorn in how it jumps between styles.
Don't wake me up lest I have to hear this song....
Me likey. :nodhead:
This one defenitely works! :-({|=
I really like this one....it's beats....it's movements......!!
Very cool...!
Really like this song...can\'t tell you why (then I\'d have to kill you).
For some reason this song just annoys me this morning. Maybe it will become clearer after I hear it some more.
Whoah. I was browsing around in Barnes & Noble one day and they were playing this over in the music section. I asked the lady what was playing, I liked it so much, so she wrote his name down for me and I lost it. Strings remind of Yoyo Ma on \'Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon.\' Love it!
