Seasons come and go
Fade until tomorrow
Seasons come and go
Leave that smile away
They say leave that smile away
You can come around but never stay
Chorus:
Everybody look
Everybody seem
Faded into a bad, bad dream
Wheels don't work
Car won't drive
Nowhere to go, nowhere to hide
One naked man
One naked scheme
Faded into a bad, bad dream
Everybody look
Everybody glide
Glide along and wave goodbye
Seasons come and go
Fade until tomorrow
Seasons come and go
Through the hills and valleys
Someone calls my name
Opens up the sky
Takes me off my train
Repeat Chorus three times
Fade until tomorrow
Seasons come and go
Leave that smile away
They say leave that smile away
You can come around but never stay
Chorus:
Everybody look
Everybody seem
Faded into a bad, bad dream
Wheels don't work
Car won't drive
Nowhere to go, nowhere to hide
One naked man
One naked scheme
Faded into a bad, bad dream
Everybody look
Everybody glide
Glide along and wave goodbye
Seasons come and go
Fade until tomorrow
Seasons come and go
Through the hills and valleys
Someone calls my name
Opens up the sky
Takes me off my train
Repeat Chorus three times

did I hear autotune in that? Something grating at the very least.
I thought it sounded exactly like Angie Aparo. I do like it.
Seriously. I thought this was Tracy Chapman off key or with a slightly changed voice until I looked....
generic music, vocals and sub par lyrics...
This is a great creation!
I thought I recognized his voice! Burlap to Cashmere lead singer. Excellent stuff. Check out B to C's CD, "Anybody Out There?" Especially the song Treasures in Heaven where Steven's voice soars emotionally. Here, not so much, but still good.

Sort of grew on me as it went along ...
YUck!!
Is that a Stevie-Nicks-Alike doing background vocals on the fadeout?
There are several nice songs on this album. I think it's good. Give a few more tunes a try before sinking this guy. New album with a few new interesting songs as well.
Me don't enjoy this.
I get this one stuck in my head (but in a good way) and always forget who did it. Nice tune.

Flaccid, yet obtuse ... sounds like some wine tasting notes.

Nix the beep beep beep, please.

It's an okay song, but it is reminiscent of Angie Aparo's stuff.

Okay folks, so its not the apogee of RP. But better than your average guy with a guitar.
I turned it down.
Aw, come on everybody, just go with the melody.
mediocre - why is Dylan great and this guy not - even though he has a better voice? Because Dylan would crystallize all the lyrical quality in this whole song into just one line, instead this guy has to repeat the same lines over and over until they just sound inane.

Peter Murphy?
Please don't insult Peter Murphy like that!

Oh, the horror, the horror. It's like a country singing greek Billy Ray Cyrus, and yes I'm embarrassed that I know that. But, maybe he looks better in a mullet?
It looks like he DOES have a mullet!

I used to listen to this guy when he was in Burlap To Cashmere. One time, I went down to NYC with my friend's band Mighty Purple and we chilled backstage with these guys. Burlap to Cashmere was awesome!
This isn't so bad. It's more back to his folk roots, I think. I like it. Burlap to Cashmere and Steven had a profound influence on my life, since I was only a kid when I was hanging out with these guys in NYC. I think he rocks.

i enjoyed it

hmmm. is that kind of like how your being a physics genius doesn't make you a good judge of music?

i just love hearing Steve on the radio...! any other RBR alums out there?
love the groove, the brushes drive this tune right along. This is driving music, I'll have to add it to my driving mix cd.
BTW, this track is my first iTunes purchase through RP. Really glad Apple finally set up the affiliate program,
Thanks to RP for turning me onto Delopoulos AND Burlap to Cashmere.
Played both discs throughout a family road trip last week, and my wife said "How come the cool music is always in YOUR car?"
:)

I seem to remember Tracy Chapman doing something quite similar.
Decent song.
Similar? If this isn't a cover, it is just a rip-off of TC's song. I honestly thought it was a cover, but its been so long since I heard her song...
That fast vibrato in his voice sounds a little to much like Springsteen to me. Or T.Chapman, as others have noted. No thanks.

Exactly what I was thinking before I looked at the Playlist. It's probably a rare RP misprint.
Heard this here a couple months ago and bought the album and haven't stopped playing it. Would like to hear some of the older Burlap material.

what he said.
Fellow's a great guitarist, and a good songwriter...I like "Rocky Boat" and "Holy Sunlight" off this CD a bit better, but they're all good. Nah, Steven alone doesn't sound the same as Burlap used to, but still good.
Me gusta.
Just a reallllly likeable song, bumped it up to an 8.
i have been waiting patiently for ANYTHING from burlap to cashmere. what a great sound they had. i had the pleasure of seeing them live in mt vernon before they hit the bigtime, however 'big' they hit. i'm very sad to learn that this is it...i have to hear the whole album before i make judgment.....

Me too. By now I find myself just waiting for it to kick in during the intro.
But then I gave it a 9.

Well as soon as I hit the "Submit" button, ol' Bill came on and answered my question. So thank you kind sir.
BTW, if you guys don't know Burlap to Cashemere, you should.
i can't even believe that little Steven Delopoulos that i went to high school with is on the radio...
how the times have changed. ahh, everybody's a rock star these days i guess.
edited to say: steve is the singer from burlap to cashmere; and as for where he came from, that would be good old monmouth county, NJ (home of bruce and bon jovi, among many talented others...)

Oh, c\'mon, I hate *everything* and I kind of liked this.
I believe it is the same vocalist, but "paint-by-numbers" and "clip-art" are two distinctly different things. I think I know the point you are trying to express, though, and do not disagree.
