Hold onto love
That is what I do
Now that I've found you
And from above
Everything's stinking
They're not around you
And in the night
I could be helpless
I could be lonely
Sleeping without you
And in the day
Everything's complex
There's nothing simple
When I'm not around you
But I miss you when you're gone
That is what I do
Hey, baby
And it's going to carry on
That is what I knew
Hey, baby
Hold on to my hands
I feel I'm sinking
Sinking without you
And to my mind
Everything's stinking
Stinking without you
And in the night
I could be helpless
I could be lonely
Sleeping without you
And in the day
Everything's complex
There's nothing simple
When I'm not around you
But I miss you when you're gone
That is what I do
Hey, baby
And it's going to carry on
That is what I knew
Hey, baby

Haters gonna hate.
That really annoying voice of Dolores. Hate Cranberries all my life. An One because there is no Zero allowed.
Haters gonna hate.
Delores was a complete force of nature. Sadly missed

I feel the same way. Her voice, the melody the lyrics and thinking of her leaving so soon moves me.
Her voice in this song brings tears to my eyes, such a talented soul taken from the world too soon. :—(

Thank you for playing anything from them that is not Zombie / Linger / Dreams.
I feel like I'm slow dancing at my high school prom in 1971
Very nice. I appreciate the homage to the do-wop years.

I generally like the Cranberries, but this is quite forgettable.
Such a talent, too soon gone.

It's a Gaelic singing style. From puirt à beul ("mouth music"), which developed in villages lacking proper instruments.
At least she's not doing that hiccup thingy with her voice on this tune

Very nice, Bill.
So many memories of life when I listen to her voice and the Cranberries. So sad to see her go at such a young age.
A fitting tribute. RIP.
My favorite Cranberries song...incredibly beautiful melody and the simplicity of the song is powerful.
Thank you for the great music throughout the 90's. The music that I traveled with on tapes through Europe, met my wife to. Thank You.
RIP Dolores
RIP Dolores

Sounds like the band is falling asleep. It must be her vocals...
haunting irish vocals, watered down melody, i think it works perfectly

i couldn't agree more :)
err... "greenpubes" ? they make special shampoo for that, you know.
This is a great song from a great band. If the world was filled with people who did their job as well as these guys do, things would be very differnt for all of us.
The naysayers need to smarten up.
This crap makes slagging the Cranberries sooooo easy. Jeeeezus. This band is one hit (and I use the term loosely) wonder gone so dreadfully wrong.
....where's my 1256 vodka drink ?
Nothin' says it better than "sucko- barfo". It's been a good decade or more of me hating the Cranberries

Billy Idol - "Eyes Without a Face" ?!?
Interesting!
I hear a bit of Julee Cruise too.
This song brings back memories and breaks my heart. So therefore I cannot do anything else but to give it an 8.

You must be confused, this is The Cranberries, not Garbage
At least she's not doing that hiccup thingy with her voice on this tune
G'away, Dolores, and take the Whineberries with you.
Billy Idol - "Eyes Without a Face" ?!?
I always want to like the Cranberries more than I do.

Bet she's had too many acidtablettes that'd hurt her throat..
LULLABY....

And I was thinking just the same thing, with genders reversed. Previous posts notwithstanding, I'm a sucker for well-done cheesy romanticism.
But I can't seem to give this more than a 5. I like it, but not a lot.

Dull. C'mon Delores. You've done much better.

I've always liked the Cranberries. Check out thier Woodstock 94 set.
Most annoying vocal work I've heard in some time.

For reasons I can't explain, I find the use of even marginally obscene phrases unpleasant in forums and e-mails. I just can't find a more appropriate word for this music than this explicative from heyho.
Song is a throwback to the early 1950s, but more boring and less authentic. Is this group always this plastic?
What is the value of people's listening to a million repetitions of "Doot, doot, doot, doot, Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah"? I see none.
Haven't heard a good song all afternoon. But then, tastes differ.
:(
Yes!!! I don't own this CD, so I haven't heard it since it came out. A different sound for them, and I love it! Makes me want to find a nice guy to slowdance with!
A poor imitation of Sinead O'Connor.
Crap.
mmm... cranberries...
Yesssss! Please play more Cranberries. :)
Thier early work was amazing.... however their later stuff seems very dated and every track begins to sound the same.
This, however, is a great track.
cranberry harvesting season in NJ always better with the Cranberries
Sweet retro. 8)
More Cranberries please.
