Lay me down to rest,
Sing me a sweet lullaby,
When will I see you again?
Sleep come over me,
Can't keep from closing my eyes.
The day is gone, but you'll carry on,
Watching, protecting me into the dawn.
Then another day to spend my life with you.
Cause there's a home in my heart
And I believe the day is coming
When we'll never be apart.
Just to be where you are,
And to spend my live with you
Would be a perfect start.
See you when I rise,
Morning will bring me your song
Over and over again.
Shine Your light on me,
Wash me in resplendent love.
There is no shame with You as my aim.
Yesterday, today, forever the same.
And I only want to spend my live with you.
Cause there's a home in my heart
And I believe the day is coming
When we'll never be apart.
Just to be where you are,
And to spend my live with you
Would be a perfect start.
In your presence Lord, there I will be satisfied,
Over and over again.
Sing me a sweet lullaby,
When will I see you again?
Sleep come over me,
Can't keep from closing my eyes.
The day is gone, but you'll carry on,
Watching, protecting me into the dawn.

Over and over again.

Oh, this is just beautiful - breathtakingly so. Thank you to whoever uploaded it! And to Bill and Rebecca for including it here. I think this might be a perfect "muse-inspirer."

Haven't heard this song in ages.
And just acoustic guitar, no vocals.
Very pleasant on the ears.........

I've had the pleasure of meeting Phil Keaggy. He's truly humble, and quite funny to boot.
Great picking, but I agree with the "muddy" comment... if this were a Windham HIll recording I bet the strings would sing!! Enjoying it tho' on this hot South Carolina afternoon.
Nice tune. But something muddy about the recording. The guitar does not jump out of my transducers like so much good stuff on RP.
absolutely marvelous... love it...
BUSY ROOM ??
Just the oasis I needed at New Years with all the football, family busy-ness. Thanks !

Lovely!
Wow. A while ago we got a rare cut from Al Petteway, and now Phil Keaggy. Very cool. How about some Kaki King?

Very nice for this morning, thanks Bill.ð

Wow! That really was a very fine piece of music that just seemed to wash over me. A first listen, and a no-brainer 8!

Just caught the tail end of this one - hadn't heard anything from Phil Keaggy in years. Wonderful guitarist! Thanks!
This transports me to another place. Simply beautiful.
Adding this to my "sleepers" collection on my playlist. Thanks for the little gem!
