I've never seen more guitar strings broken during a concert that at a Feelies show. It's hard to understand how fast and furious they are playing because they have sooooo much control, that is, until you see them live. I got to twice, once fully on accident.
And they still make very good recordings!!!
This album really their apex. Excellent album, every song is superb (assuming you like this). No one ever sounded like the feelies and they never sounded like anyone else.
Though other songs are better than this one, Slipping into Something, High Road, cmon Bill, dig deeper

Great Post, I almost forgot about these guys.
Thanks for playing.
Thanks for playing.
Awesome! One of my fave bands. The release date is wrong, though: it's 1986.
The Feelies on RP?! One of my favorite bands from back in the day.... Thank you! Made my whole morning!
Nice segue; Levon Helm to The Feelies

Oh yay, The Feelies! I wish they'd get more airplay. Not just here, but everywhere.
All my punkish acoustic aspirations wrapped up in these guys in my 80s days, as I entered my brave new world of the 90s

Pooser :)
If they get pissed off easily, would they be the touchy Feelies?

Welcome to the Alternative 80s. For a lot of bands, it was considered a sign of a sellout if the vocal wasn't buried in the mix.
is there supposed to be a vocal track on this? It's hard to tell, it is so faint.

This song is fantastic, but just a few minutes too short. Must check out their other stuff...

Woot...nice musical stretch going on right now. (Sans David Bowie's Modern love!)
The Feelies - When Company Comes
Franz Ferdinand - Take Me Out
David Bowie - Modern Love
Muddy Waters - Got My Mojo Workin'

One of the great bands of the 80's. Crazy Rhythms is one of the best all time albums. I saw them at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs in 1987 or 1988 and they did a fantastic cover of Neil Young's Sedan Delivery
When I saw them in Boston in the late 80s they did a cover of Neil Young's Barstool Blues. Great show, btw.

Wow! I had forgotten about these guys! Brings back memories of a cassette a good friend gave me of theirs.
Back in the last century, no one could afford a designer for their album cover...
Yeah, Love this album; my favourite feelies album (and the only one I've heard) the whole album is kinda samey but that's good. I like driving to this.
My college band used to cover "The High Road" from this album. Just three chords and a bridge, but man, what fun to play! We would beat it into the ground, since we kinda sucked.
I also always got a kick out the name of Feelies member Bill Million.
I saw the Feelies on the same tour in Boston in 1989. It was the first time I ever heard of them. I thought they were ripping off REM. However, it turns out REM was ripping of the Feelies. Love to hear some "Crazy Rythms" on Radio Paradise.

I saw them too, at the Tower Theatre in Philly. I remember the date: March 17, 1989. I LOVED the Feelies. Always felt they were one of the great "lost" bands of the 80s, kind of a missing link between late 70s/early 80s punk/new wave and 80s alternative. Kind of a less intense version of Television. Really nice, guitar driven stuff.

I saw that same tour...I honestly thought that the Feelies were better than Lou was...and that's saying something as I'm a HUGE Lou Reed fan. Ahh, well...different strokes. I love this Feelies album. They're other two, Only Life and Time For A Witness are really, really amazing too....totally underrated band.

I saw the Feelies as the warm up band for Lou Reed during his "New York" tour. They were very good. They have a great sound. I have the "Only Life" album which is a good listen, wasn't aware of others. Thanks Bill for again opening my eyes (and ears).
Lou, on the other hand, totally kicked ass! He played every song from the New York album in the order that they were cut from the CD. That way, we would remember the show as we sat in our cars or living rooms listening to the album later. The guy is a genius.
Another band that sounds very similar to the Feelies are the "Lemonheads", especially their album "Car, Button, Cloth". Worth a listen. Another RP band.
Pretty good tune.
Please play more. One of the great acts of the 80's.
Saw the Feelies twice in concert. They were fantastic both times. What's hard to appreciate is how fast they are playing even though it isn't loud and distorted. They would hit every note. In one show the lead guitarist must have broke 10 strings. Never seen that before.

Cool - now let's have some stuff from Crazy Rhythms!
I LIKE it!
edit: started out strong then got kind of boring - to my ears at this moment.
I dig it. Nice take on accoustic guitar and such.
Not to be confused with the Weepies...
not bad. 7 rounded up from 6.5.
Gotta love the Feelies! We used to play this song at very high volume in my college dorm after a long night of partying. Absolutely amazing. The vocals are way down intentionally. That is the Feelies!
One of the most underrated bands of all time.

? I think I like this song, but it sounds to me like the vocal track has been turned way down--I can't hear it very well and I know it's not my computer because the songs before and after are fine. Is that the way it's supposed to sound?
Way too short!!! Play it again, Sam!
MORE FEELIES!!!!
I WANT MORE!
We NEED more Feelies on RP
The Good Earth is one of the classic alternative rock albums of the 80's.
Please give our ears a treat.

Yes - and I would suggest RP add a few more to the repetoire. A fantastic and much under appreciated band.
Yeah! Finally some Feelies!
