Please toss this CD OUT THE WINDOW... Thank you so much!!!
I'm sorry, I really don't think he's a good singer.

My sentiments exactly
Looking through a couple profiles, it's funny that some of those that are crapping all over Richard Butler's voice are the same folks that rate Neil Young's stuff very highly. I'd guess if asked, they would then claim that voice is not what makes the song good or bad... go figure.
I like Richard Butler and the Furs... I don't like Neil Young. I suppose we've all got our own opinions.

it was a valid opinion. a lot of singing lacks passion some songs deserve. let it go.
Nope.

I've always marvelled at comments of this nature - how do you know whether or not somebody sings with passion? It sounds almost as if you judge the passion of somebody's singing by whether or not you like it.
Did the fella from Coldplay tell you his singing was empty? Did this fella singing this track tell you he was singing with passion?
I happend to like this song (for nostalgia value), and I happen to like Coldplay. But I can't judge the passion of their voices just by sound. You can put a lot of passion into taking a dump, too, you know, but I can't tell by the stink alone.

Classic Richard Butler. Excellent!
For all those who don't like his voice, I will admit it is gravely and earthy, almost too much, but at least the man sings with some passion, not like so many of the whiny and otherwise emotionally devoid singers you hear these days (the guy from Coldplay comes to mind - pretty, but ultimately empty).

Why a question mark? It sucks! Exclamation mark.

Wow - how did he get signed with vocals like that?
Like pop music is known for silky vocals.
didn't the Furs just tour together?

All the negative comments really surprise me... This isn't half bad. I quite enjoy it, and it's nice to hear Butler again.

What did he do with the money his mom gave him for singing lessons?
He took lessons on how to sing like a castrated cat....or more specifically, a cat being castrated......

This sucks. Psychadelic Furs rather sucked, too. Added on the suckage when they changed their name to Love Spit Love some time in the 90s. :P
You need therapy NOW.

I thought it was the Psychedelic Furs, is it the same vocalist? - "The Psychedelic Furs are long gone" says Richard Butler. Doesn't sound over-different to me.
Never beat "Talk, Talk, Talk," and "Pretty in Pink"
