Walking down this hill tonight
I had a thought all to myself
As I contemplated the moonlight
We got it all, we got it made
I don't know how I got here
But I'm holding on for the crash
Pull myself out of the moon
I know I'll never go there but
It's shining down from up on high
We got it made, we got it made
I don't know what we gotta make
Sooner or later we die
We're apart, go to pieces
While I go to sleep
Look into my heart, oh baby
Don't become a part of the past
You can be a part of the key
Don't turn away, don't run away
Don't leave me hanging by a thread
Shine a little love down on me
We're in love, make your peace
Wasting time's all you need
Walking down this hill tonight
I had a thought it was my own
Moon swept by the clouds
And save the starlight
Or shall I be or shall I not be
I don't know I just don't
Feel like kids in night
I had a thought all to myself
As I contemplated the moonlight
We got it all, we got it made
I don't know how I got here
But I'm holding on for the crash
Pull myself out of the moon
I know I'll never go there but
It's shining down from up on high
We got it made, we got it made
I don't know what we gotta make
Sooner or later we die

Was disappointed in this CD when it came out. However, after hearing a couple of songs from it on RP I have re-examined it and found it to be quite good, actually.
I agree. It ages well.
I should leave and do something else anyhow. This is a good time to go.
Weak vocals and electronic noise. Garbage. A rare 1.
Good one :-)

Amen to that. I actually buried Travis in my collection but I like this song a lot. Great, chill sound. I'll have to dig them out again and get this song on the 'ole iPod.

What if it is Scottish?
Is it me or is there a hint of Aphex Twin in this?

travis are a great band, great melodies&vocals, some that will become classics like "why does it always rain on me"....but I don't think that the songs of 12 memories will have the same destiny.....dommage
Like the instrumental arrangement a lot, but the vocal is pretty blecchhy.
I like the strong Piano element - well used for both percussion and melody. BOOSTED the speakers for that one. Sorry to the neighbors.....
Edit: I see I posted to this before because I loved this over a year ago. That is *a* test of time, but is it *the* test of time?
I like what Mari said!!!!!
Another guy whose only groove is ennui. Maybe he could join Coldplay, and the whole lot could disappear. I wish.
Taking a page from Death Cab for Cutie?

Kinda sounds like "Don't Fear the Reaper" - minus the cowbell...tee hee - that's why it doesn't work all the way - you can never have too much cowbell :)
Kinda sounds like crap!

the same thing is starting to happen to me. Let's see if it sticks.
This album was crap. Period.

hmmm i quite like this one, not usually my style of music but this is quite enjoyable.
It seems like I'm in the minority, but I find this Travis album more interesting than the others (although I've liked them all). This song is my favorite.

First time hearing this: A very very wicked instrumental intro which immediately snagged me. I just waited, hoping that if there was a vocal, that it would match. And bam, I could tell after the first phrase that it was right on. What a great fusion of everything!
My volume knob wont go any higher!
I FEEL EXACTLY THE SAME!!

Thanks, a'ston. I missed Travis first time around. Glad you're helping me catch up now. Bill, too!

Should always be preceded with Kate Bush's Running Up That Hill, even though musically they probably don't meld that well. ;)
my upload :)
Yeah, this is surprisingly good. It's got a drive to it.
Kid A lite?
Pretty good.
