GOOD TUNE!! Not one of their best, but good. I haven't heard it in while. Thanx RP!
Normally a TH fan, the chorus on this song makes me want to choke David Byrne with a calender, ala Alien.
I love TH and 77 was one of their best.. Doesn't anyone remember what a blast this was when this came out? It had been almost a decade since the hippie revolution, a decade when everything seemed to be sliding into soppy sentimentality and trite calls for peace love and understanding.. This whole period was a big wake-up call.

I think it only fair to point out that on the 3rd of May you posted the same comments to all of the Talking Heads songs in the RP library. Stuffing the ballot box only works in third world banana republics, like the United States.
Maybe he got fed up with Talking Heads, I feel like doing that with Bob Marley sometimes.
And I thought the last song was bad.
Some days this station rocks, and some days its just off....this is definately an off day so far!!
awful

Sometimes it's fun to pick out the theme in the thread of songs being played on RP. I think I've got it -- REALLY annoying songs?
PS I actually like a number of Talking Heads songs -- just not this one, God knows.
You're close - just REALLY annoying songs TO YOU. So please continue to listen.

There's 38 bastard TH tracks on RP and most of them get a good rotation.
WHY?
there's amazing music in this world, there's no need to have 38 of one bands tracks on RP.
What about the 104 Beatles tracks?

Well, you sure picked the right comment. That was my masterpiece!
Yay! Talkings Heads!
NOT!

Well I'd agree with you, since there are several TH songs that are supremely lame. Would much prefer a live version of Psycho Killer or Life During Wartime ... but this really is better than you think.

Hemorrhoids inducing!

This album, along with B-52s, completely changed my musical tastes. In a good way.
Oh yah, for sure. That and seeing them in my college town in about '78 or '79 for $1.

Just for people like you, I uploaded two versions of Psycho Killer to go along with the two they already had.

I got a fever, and more marimbas is the only cure!

A waste of time.
What is it with Radio Paradise and Talking Heads. I have to disconnect every time this band comes on cause it is just painful to listen; which is way too often cause you play them way too much. This is my only complaint against the station as a long time listener, but it is a big one!
A blast from the past.

I agree. Although I like the Talking Heads, this sounds a bit strained; they are trying too hard.
the man was @ SXSW 1 or 2 years ago and spoke of song composition, I prefer the student much more than the teacher........still TH has stopped making sense....
A waste of time.

Great deep track from one of the most creative and influential bands out there. Rhino's just issued a great boxset with remasters of all their studio stuff and including rarities and all of their videos which were equally creative.

Reminds me of my liberal friends from Madison..... sounds like about 100 other Talking Heads songs. Good background music for trimming the hedges or mowing the lawn.....
... and I hate doing both!

brings back memories...
Listening to this, it's funny to recall how people labeled them as "punk" back then. Guess because they played some of the same venues as those bands.
Good fun.

possibly, but '77 was a seminal album- it, along with nevermind the bullocks from the sex pistols, reafirmed my faith in R&R
Very playful and funny. Especially all those percussive instruments way in front of the mix.
Oh, this takes me back. I love this album, and I can't hear it enough! It always sounds fresh ">
