It's exactly like eating glass; and that is the only thing good about this noise.

Loved them in Austin...they really blew a lot of people away who weren't expecting this. Great drums on the track, though the overall development's a bit lacking. Still pretty good.
Too many generic comments using the word generic to describe any recent musical offerings. This lot will survive the cull.
This has an edginess to it-like eating glass. Outstanding.
Not my favorite song on this album ("This Modern Love"), but just listen to that texture.

I love Bloc Party! A friend gave me the album a month or two ago and it didn't strike me at first, but after listening to it more, I really like it, it's got great energy!

Ah yes. Bloc Party, The Killers, Arcade Fire, and Kaiser Chiefs. The "it" bands of the moment. Of course, in today's music industry "it" bands have a supremely high turnover rate. Remember when The Darkness was hailed as "the next big thing"?

I just purchased the album last week and this song really pumped me up driving down the freeway last Friday night ... that is until traffic came to a halt around a couple lanes of closed traffic, 100 flares, about a dozen cop cars and one mysterious, stalled semi (& maybe some broken glass). I don't know what that was about, but I dig this album!

More recently, I heard a second Bloc party song that was different than this and better. I'll stay open to them until I hear a few more songs, maybe this one is not the best first-listen for this band.

It may not be a great song but it is fun to hear what RP thinks are its forefathers in terms of influences. ...and now i totally hear the U2 guitar in the Bloc Party tune. I may not always like the cousine but it's always interesting to meet other parts of the family, right?

Just saw them perform last night at the Commodore Ballroom here in Vancouver. Great show, lots of energy. They opened with this song, too.

i just picked up the album the other day. hands down it is probably the best or top 5 2005 release. great album. i was even thinking of swinging down to chicago to check them out live. it is just awesome. more, more, more!!!!
