I, I ain't no number
Don't need no ID round my neck
So, Mr. Politician
Got born and named like blood runs red

'Cause I, I ain't no number
Don't require no ID round my neck
So, Mr. Number maker
ID cards don't stop no hijack jet

Think, think of a number
Think and choose a number one to ten
If five, five is your number
Times that five by two to make a ten

'Cause I, I ain't no number
Don't need no ID round my neck
So, Mr. Number maker
ID cards don't stop no hijack jet

My little girl keep dancing
Kiss ya lips and love yourself so right
Click Mr. Number maker
Wants your fingerprints, your ass and eye

To stipulate your identification
Got born and raised like blood runs red
Wants to slip a microchip in my lip
'Cause loose lips sink ships
Keep it shake ya hips
Keep it kiss ya lips

I ain't no number
Don't need no ID round my neck
So my little girl keep dancing
ID cards don't stop no hijack jet

So my little girl keep dancing
ID cards don't stop no hijack jet
So my little girl keep dancing
ID cards don't stop no hijack jet

Could be a decent song, but I just can't get past the double negative "ID cards don't stop no hijack jet."  I'm weird about double negatives I guess.

I'm a technical writer and it doesn't bother me at all
This rocks
I turned the volume down for this.  It seems so insubstantial after the interesting  songs that came before it.

Tune good. Lyrics less so. Giving this a 7 because it is enjoyable.

Dang! It's true!  Oh well, separating art from artist,. I'll keep my 8.
I like this tune and the lyrics are unfortunate - identification does indeed prevent terrorism

awesome tune for a little late afternoon accounting.

I'll account for my current under-rating (5) by going +2 while I also do some afternoon accounting work!

Long Live RP and all the Accountants in the world!
hubby gives this a 9, but I'll sneak in an 8.
love it and love Ian Brown!
Stop playing music that makes me stop and dance.  Trying to get some work done here!

I like this a bunch!

Ready-made for the soundtrack of a hyper-action movie: Jason Bourne, Jack Reacher, you know the type.
Lovin the bass and all the lowz... !
Reminds me of troubled times in Amsterdam... Now wheres my grinder

Compelling.  Nice rhythm.
Why have I not heard this before?  Totally digging it!!
Nice riff, nice groove.  For some reason, I keep thinking about Yello grooves when I hear this.
{#Bananajam}{#Bananajumprope}
Gave it a 6 on the strength of that cool little guitar riff.

Already a freakin 10 11 11 11 ! The tension is excellent!
nice segue!
People, it's a protest song against the British government's plan to introduce compulsory biometric ID card. "ID cards won't stop no hijack yet . . ."
Sounds unremarkably like INXS Suicide Blonde.
ho hum. wake me up when it's over.
7-8 for sound, 10 for message. Final rating: 10

Like the vibe on this one. Would have been better as an instrumental...the dude's vocal style doesn't do much for me.
Right, the guy simply can't sing! Saw him live once and a dog's howling sounds nicer.
You don't need to see his ID. =;

So that's where he's from. I see his name connnected with UNKLE stuff quite a bit and I never knew which band he was from.

Just bumped my rating up from a 9 to a 10. This song is so cool.
One of the coolest songs I've heard recently.. I was meaning to upload this.. glad someone already did.
Ian sheds the psychadelia Madchester nostalgia for electronic Madchester nostalgia. I can dig that.
Sweet!
