This reminds me of Bjork, also. I thought it might be her at first, but didn't think the quality of the song was up to her usual standard.

Heh heh! Very good. But good song too!
Edit--A quick google notes she is rumored a finalist for a Nobel Prize. And following Patti Smith, has been awarded the French medal "Commander of Arts and Letters"

In 2003, Matson also received a MacArthur Fellowship for her ground-breaking research into dry-ice nuclear physics, her attempt to create an alternative energy source that would eliminate the nuclear waste problem. She also recently invented a method for rotating the air in automobiles' tires - designed to save labor in tire shops. A Harvard MBA and MIT computer-science graduate, Matson likes to spend her free time writing novels and rehabbing Victorian homes.
I bought 2 of their CDs after hearing them/her on RP. My new favorite band! The tunes played on RP aren't their best tracks - must hear their other material - it's quite good! I am uploading a few of my favorites under LRC so hopefully they will hit the playlist.

A native Texan who now resides in Los Angeles, pop/rock singer/songwriter Matson Belle isn't your average singer. In addition to music, Belle was a finalist on the popular TV show Survivor and has starred in the feature film Hangman (after being discovered by the film's director at a coffee shop). But music is her true love several of her songs have appeared on independent movie soundtracks and she's performed with Andy Summers of the Police. In addition, Belle held the top spot on SpinRecords.com as favorite artist for 26 weeks in a row, and was one of six singer/songwriters selected by AFTRA for a music industry showcase. Belle's music combines harps, flutes, saxophones, and violins over groovy dance tracks.

Just stand under the shower head a tad longer and you won't have this problem.
whoa...definitely thought this was Bjork for awhile...not that that's necessarily bad.
Very catchy tune. Gets stuck in my head. Just weird its about shampoo though. Or is it? Maybe its really about conditioner.

Maybe it's because RP plays it so often and for some reason I catch it everytime.
I'm really starting to like this song
Just not sure on this one. It is soooo close to being a song I should like, but just does not make it. I hate when that happens cause I think I should like it! UGH!
PS
DANG! Need to vist her site and see her photos!
WOW she is cute!

All very interesting. Too bad there is no such person. Actually its all very confusing. Anyway, you can't get a license to sound like that unless you're from Iceland. If your from Texas, its just weird.
Wonder if the album name "Goodbye Juggernaut" is a play on the World Party album name "Goodbye Jumbo." Probably not -- it ain't worth parodying the obscure.
sounds like Björk
Stop singing... pleeeeaaaaaseeeee!
I like the tune though

Ha ha!! I just heard Bill describing how Rebecca mis-heard the chorus as "poo on my pillow sham." Comedy gold. Unfortunately I tuned in too late to hear the song itself this time around.
Do we have a version of that emoticon with actual splitting sides?
Like this song, but now I can't stop hearing the alternate lyrics. :D
Add the Eminence Front-style keys to the list of recycled parts of this song.
By the way, the bio on the Matson Belle website says the singer was a Survivor finalist. I wish that didn't affect my hearing of the song.

why use shampoo when you can use realpoo
like this song :)
This sounds an awful lot like MB's "Fatal Error".

Sounded a bit like Over The Rhine to me ....

Yeah, I hear it that way too, more or less. No more songs about poo on my pillow! Yucky.
Sounds kinda like Edie Brickell in places, too.

Bjork crossed with Melanie - great stuff !!

not as "cute" as the hawaii song, which is odd, since this it's almost melodically identical.
when did bjork change her name?
