Could we, take a walk
Could we, have a talk alone
In the afternoon

Could we, have a seat
Why, yes, be my guest
You can hold my hand

What a dream, in the grass
We kissed, fell in love too fast, too soon
Love full bloom

Should we get up, let's wake up
Let's get dressed, I'll let you walk me up the street
Back home

Thank you, it was great
Let's make another date
Real soon
In the afternoon

Please do.  I was thinking the same thing just the other day.

I have tried uploading on a few occasions.  Nothing I do seems to work.   I never have the right mp3 format.   I'm too lazy to figure it out, I am more interested in hearing things I don't already have.

cat power has got my vote

This station could use more Dusty Springfield - I'll have to upload some.

Agreed. I'm a Cat Power fan.  However, this tune would be better without the supporting vocals, IMHO.

Sounds a bit like Dusty Springfield.

Chan Marshall, an absolutely unique and huge talent at work, and ... oh yeah .. that pesky personality disorder, also. Let's enjoy her while she still able to perform.
Great voice, but such an annoying song.

This song was decent the first time I heard it, but it grows on you. An 8. ..and, yeah, definitely hear more Concrete Blonde than usual in this one of hers.
I agree- Just bumped it to an 8 too. Maybe I'm feeling generous...

I guess she's a total nutcase.... she just canceled her tour that was intended to support this release. On this album, the instrumentation is much less minimal than usual for her, you can practically hear the musicians begging her to at least accept a complete rhythm section. Frankly, she's never done anything for me, and she still doesn't. I guess I just don't go for self-consciously neurotic songwriters.
I love Cat Power, I just wish they could be a little more confident in their abilities, and more comfortable on stage. I saw Chan Marshall a couple of weeks ago, and I felt bad for how uncomforatble she looked. She needs to relax, and realize that she has an incredible gift, and everyone there came to see and support her.

Thankfully it's short.

Not bad, but overplay is hurting it for me.

That is a sample from Van Morrison, no?
Definite signs of Morrisonization.

Sounds like Lorna Bennett when she does Breakfast In Bed off of This Is Reggae Music. Gets me every time.

It's not Johnette Napolitano from Concrete Blonde?!?! Wow, it really sounded like her... who is it?

Meow ... I likey Cat!
Cat Power sounds like mellow Jefferson Airplane, particularly Grace Slick.
Okay, that's like 6 weird, repetitive songs with a more than slightly jarring sensibility in 10 minutes. Sorry can't make up for it with some country either... ugh, bail
its late at night...what the hell, i give it a 7.

There are some much better cat power songs on for instance 'What's up matador' and 'Everything Is Nice: The Matador Records 10th Anniversary Anthology'

DOG POWER! (yes, witness the mental capacity of an 8-year-old)
I've liked Cat Power for a little while now... I am excited about this new album... While this isn't the best I've heard from her, still a quite likable little song.
