Lyrics:

Turn around for something better
Children give up don't you ever
Remember that the devil's clever
Brother John, where are you sleeping?
Take the light into your room
Cast a candle on your doom

Your master his is coming home soon
Brother John, how are you sleeping?
May your awakening be near
Heaven could be any place, why not here?

Brother John, why are you sleeping?
welcome to the world brother............

Damn fine!
Whoa, 90's flashback.
I took my wife to see this band, we'd just started dating.
Good times...

Par for the course for Big Head Todd.
Nonsense. Nice little tune from an underrated band. MsJudi wrote:

...and the title track too. Great underated album. Leo Kottke even sits in on another track.
Underappreciated I think...? BHT&tM's are great! Well constructed song and the vocals are awesome. If you ever get the chance, Todd and the Monsters put on an awesome show -- even better viewed at Red Rocks (Denver)... Their music lends itself to those extended jams that just bring the stars that much closer to earth...
must learn to play this! so nice

Great song.
Great song, great album. This is definitely a different twist on "Frere Jacques" I do like some other songs on this album better than Brother John -- specifically "Circle" and "Bittersweet." It would be great to hear some other songs from this album on RP.
