All my worries far behind
Floatin' down that old river, boy
Leave old memories way behind
Yesterday is slowly fadin'
All my life I've been waitin'
For this time
Floatin' down that old river, boy
Leaves me feelin' good inside
Floatin' down that old river, boy
Tryin' to get to the other side
Yesterday is slowly fadin'
I've been waitin' now forever
For this ride
Ride the river in this boat, ride the river
Ride the river in this boat, ride the river
Ride the river in this boat, ride the river
Ride the river in this boat, ride the river
Floatin' down that old river, boy
All my worries far behind
Floatin' down that old river, boy
Leave old memories way behind
Yesterday is slowly fadin'
I've been waitin' now forever
For this ride
Ride the river in this boat, ride the river
Ride the river in this boat, ride the river
Ride the river in this boat, ride the river
Ride the river in this boat, ride the river
Ride the river in this boat, ride the river
Ride the river in this boat, ride the river
Ride the river in this boat, ride the river
Ride the river in this boat, ride the river
Bill ur selections are great
thanks
We just had Byrne and Eno together, doing something to bring back (almost) both their glorious pasts.
By contrast, we now have this, two once great guitarists masturbating in their old age over a non-tune with the most banal words, repeated ad nauseum, over a bass line that sounds like a T-Rex reject, Kenny Rogers or Kool and the Gang would have had a hard job not shooting the drummer for being so dull and repetitive. And they never stop! I thought there might be a flash of genius to close with, but it's just fade to boredom...
There, I think it's out of my system! I apologise to anyone who likes these two artists, usually I do too.
You know, it's not everybody's dream to drum like Keith Moon or John Bonham (both of whom I love). Sometimes the drummers job is to simply keep the rhythm and stay out of the way.
What fun!!!

I don't disagree with most of your sentiments, but I'm not sure what possessed you to mention Kenny Rogers and Kool & The Gang (who had some outstanding drummers) in the same sentence.
