I wrote this song
years ago
late at night
somewhere on the Goldhawk Road
I was never sure how or why
Before the war
and the tidal wave
engulfed us all it's true
how the world has changed
And I was learning how to change with you
We saw the green fields
Turn into stone
Such lonely homes
All in a badman's dream
He ain't asleep
It's just a dream
In the darkest hour
the song had gone
it passed among the people
I hardly knew
I was losing it all the time
But she stayed with me
and found me out
and above all things I've learnt
It's that honesty
that secures the bond in the heart
We saw the green fields
Turn into stone
Such lonely homes
All in a badman's dream
He ain't asleep
It's just a dream

Another unique RP selection, nice!

Blur, Clash and the Verve were pretty big groups. Having members from each of these I would say qualify as a Supergroup.
Wikipedia calls these guys a supergroup.
Just sayin.

Really? you thought it was the first or second stomach of a cow or other ruminant used as food. Or rubbish? Hard to tell sometimes.
I watched their set at Glastonbury. I was a little bewildered at their popularity, so I must be missing something important. I thought it was tripe.

Interesting to see how one thought 7 years ago.
Still find myself agreeing with myself.
And that's probably a first.
I rushed to my computer to see what it was that Mr. Albarn had done that I had not heard. A good day for me... there is new material (to me at least) to go and look for, acquire and savor.
It's a good night!
I have always felt that there was genius in this man.

Strangely exellent album, though it first sounded like done by left hand.
The Good, The Bad & The Queen... sounds like my first marriage.
The Good, The Bad & The Queen, Gorillaz, the rebirth of blur. When does he find time to breathe?
I'm a fan of this album.
There's nothing mind-blowing about it.
But I find the sounds easy to hang out with.
It's somehow comforting.

ok, so i've heard this several times now during my many hours of RP enjoyment and my rating of this song goes down with every listen. so either we're going to need negative ratings pretty soon or this song is going to need to quietly find it's way into the RP bit bucket.
Gorillaz tune "Highway (under Construction)" is one of their better tunes, It got rejected on the damn IRC!!!!!!!!
Sounds like some '70's psychedelic rock. Not bad but doesn't thrill me.
Gorillaz?! Blur!!!? and now "The Good, the Bad & the Queen"
I never knew they were related!
... I think i'm salivating

Probably the worst thing Damon Albarn has ever done in his life. Should have stuck with Gorillaz instead.

\"All in a Bartman dream\"? Eat my shorts! :)
The Boring and The Bad and the Arrrrrrrrrg
i saw them live at 'Primavera Sound Festival' in Barcelona. Bad and boring performance
Pretentious!!
Very Good

I dunno. Too wandering and meandering. I feel like I'm off balance, listening to three different tunes. Down a hallway. Through three different voice fx mixers.
I got the album when it came out..and still feel the same way about the lot! It doesn't seem to have a direction or feel, lots of wandering songs. Bits 'n' pieces have been slowly growing on me (moss?), but it's taken a real long time
Catchy little number, somehow reminiscent of the Kinks, IMO.
Thats a very good thing!

more blur on RP!
There are 4 or 5 Blur songs that seem to get played pretty regularly. But I've never had any luck uploading any:
Blur - Death Of A Party sorry 34/4 (89%)
Blur - For Tomorrow sorry 28/6 (82%)
Blur - Country Sad Ballad Man sorry 0/0 (0%)
Bill is over-playing this one, isn't he?

uh, yeah...he was in Blur before he was ever in The Gorillaz...you know, that band he created like ages ago and fronts...it kinda helped to usher in the 2nd era of "Brit Pop"...

I kind of like that.
I prefer Marianne Faithfull's version.

Another average song on RP

Bill G-
Here's suggestion: add a ? to the ratings selections?
The vocals in the beginning sound like some other song, from another time. Can't place it.
Traffic on John Barleycorn Must Die?

Yep.. its Damon Albarn
Mairanne Faithful has this song on her album. Maybe she wrote it?
