The spring is upon us, follow my ornate song
Settle down with me by the fire of my yearning
You should come back home, back on your own now
The world is alive now, in and outside our home
You run through the forest settled before the sun
Darling, I can barely remember you beside me
You should come back home, back on your own now
You should come back home, back on your own now
In the evening light, when the woman of the woods came by
To give to you the word of the old man
In the morning tide, when the sparrow and the seagull fly
And Jonathan and Evelyn get tired
Lie to me if you will
At the top of Barringer Hill
Tell me anything you want, any old lie will do
Call me back to, back to you
Lie to me if you will
At the top of Barringer Hill
Tell me anything you want, any old lie will do
Call me back to, back to you
Fleet Morning Fox Jackets?
exactly. and the mumford band of decemberist horses & sons.
so over this genre.
Oooooohhhh.... wooaaah wooaah woaahhh.... for the longest time
It must trigger some wasted space from my 80s teenage brain.
This band couldn't suck worse if there was a suck festival on the suckiest day of the year.
Good gods I hate you fucking whining little shits.. especially some asshat named “thewiseking” fucking fast forward if you dont like and no we don’t care that you don’t like this due to whatever vomit your unimaginative brain can spew… fuck off
Are you capable of expressing yourself without coming across as a complete mouthbreather?
So who is it?
We're not all so well-informed, especially us types that aren't capable musicians, so debate is always valuable. There's no need for unnecessary argument over anything. One should be allowed to express an opinion without sarcasm or judgement.
Operor non nutritor trolls seems to apply. I'm just too old for the aggro.
Uh ... ok. So who is it?
It's the lavish production. Oh, and the overuse of reverb!
same issue with My Morning Jacket. Some sort of hipster affectation

Why do their records sound like they were recorded in a public toilet?

Done with Fleet Foxes. Onward, PSD.
I still enjoy their stuff. Not a PSD'er.
edit: apart from the weirdo who gives every one of my comments a thumbs-down. I know who you are, oddball...
So who is it?
Was a nice soundtrack to grow some plants to
I believe one of the Gallagher brothers described it as “f-ing canoeing music” - which is accurate and doesn’t put me off one bit!
I wish it was Fleeting Foxes.
All Indie Folk blows and needs to go away.
well played

That comment ^^ just made my day! LMAO!
Just a bit of spam. Gone now.
Thanks Fleet Foxes for this gem.
But why?
Ah. This must be one of the posters that inspired calle01.
yes, but ... white winter hymnal? isn't it? hmm?
Dear god that was jarring wasn't it. Bill, if your listening you need to adjust this one!
Still happening in April.
Except when the beginning of their song overlaps/cuts off Van the Man's preceding song! (Oh no!)

Deep Purple used a detail from Bosch's "Garden Of Earthly Delights".
The painting on the Fleet Foxes album cover is "Netherlandish Proverbs", which, as pointed out a few times below, was painted by Pieter Bruegel, the Elder.
Don't you love how music messes with your head like that?
Hmmm............ Not bad.
seriously? they were sold out two nights in a row when I was in Chicago, and i felt kind of bad about missing them....maybe it was a good thing i did...

Sounds a lot like Bob Dylan!
Hardly.

This is meant in a good way. I'm about to spend a lot of money on these bands, and it's all RadioParadise's fault.
Yep. Loves me my RadioParadise. Hates me my RadioParadise. And bottom line: Loves me my RadioParadise.

Quite. Doing....epigrams? Is that the word? A stitch in time...Little fish eat big fish. The Dutch have a hatful of them. Breughel. Wonderful painter.
No, it's just that this particular painting is by the father, not the son...
the elder...

AWESOME
AWFUL
One has a E, the other not.
OK, I'll change it to a 6 because, although derivative, this song is pleasant to listen to.
Completely disagree. I find the harmonies especially bad.

Oh that's easy, if I like it, it is this band. If it sucks ass, it is My Morning Jacket, mystery solved!
Yeah, I was fooled too. This is less swoopy and more melodic than MMJ. Worth an 8 for me.

Whoa! Thanks a lot!
Either way I give it a 7.

The cover looks like a Hieronymus Bosch but it could be another artist of that era or a re-creation.

WHAT DID YOU SAY?? Is that you Simon Cowell? There are so many quiet, whispery singers these days, I like to hear someone belt out a tune for a change.
7 > 8
Actually 8 is greater than 7...I hope this isn't news to you.
Yes, very similar to MMJ.
great way to start the day. love the FF's

I didn't even have to hit the mute button this time!
You should add a logic filter to your keyboard so you have a better chance of making sense.
Found a bug here - I'm hearing So Damn Lucky by Dave Matthews Band, but the metadata is showing Fleet Foxes!
That happens sometimes on my end, too - I concluded that it only happens when my internet connection is weak and/or if the browser in which I have RP opened is under heavy load (too many opened and pinned tabs, ugh). Not sure if there's anything Jarred can do about it, the bug might be hard to reproduce
