Come down from the mountain, you have been gone too long
The spring is upon us, follow my ornate song
Settle down with me by the fire of my yearning
You should come back home, back on your own now

The world is alive now, in and outside our home
You run through the forest settled before the sun
Darling, I can barely remember you beside me
You should come back home, back on your own now
You should come back home, back on your own now

In the evening light, when the woman of the woods came by
To give to you the word of the old man
In the morning tide, when the sparrow and the seagull fly
And Jonathan and Evelyn get tired

Lie to me if you will
At the top of Barringer Hill
Tell me anything you want, any old lie will do
Call me back to, back to you

Lie to me if you will
At the top of Barringer Hill
Tell me anything you want, any old lie will do
Call me back to, back to you

That happens sometimes on my end, too - I concluded that it only happens when my internet connection is weak and/or if the browser in which I have RP opened is under heavy load (too many opened and pinned tabs, ugh). Not sure if there's anything Jarred can do about it, the bug might be hard to reproduce

exactly. and  the mumford band of decemberist horses & sons.

so over this genre.
I swear, whenever I hear that very first chord, I expect to hear Billy Joel:

Oooooohhhh.... wooaaah wooaah woaahhh.... for the longest time

It must trigger some wasted space from my 80s teenage brain.

We're not all so well-informed, especially us types that aren't capable musicians, so debate is always valuable.  There's no need for unnecessary argument over anything.  One should be allowed to express an opinion without sarcasm or judgement.

Operor non nutritor trolls  seems to apply.  I'm just too old for the aggro.

same issue with My Morning Jacket. Some sort of hipster affectation

I believe one  of the Gallagher brothers described it as “f-ing canoeing music” - which is accurate and doesn’t put me off one bit!

Wonderful live show seen a few summers ago. New album pales in comparison to this
Baroque Folk Pop - absolutely beautiful (and yes I do love MMJ as well)
Saw them at the Eden Project a few years ago, and I'm still finding it hard to equate the extraordinarily talented, Mick Fleetwood-esque Josh Tillman with the self-absorbed a$$wipe who calls himself Father John Misty.

All Indie Folk blows and needs to go away.

well played
Back in those halcyon times before the (excellent, Mick Fleetwood-esque) drummer's head disappeared up his bottom and he turned into the pretentious twat known as Father John Misty.
Here in Brooklyn Fleet Foxes is like wallpaper. Dated wallpaper.

I like Fleet Foxes.  The name always brings me back to the day I was walking with my then fiance (now wife) near our home.  A pair of foxes ran out from under some bushes, chased each other across the road, and disappeared into a tree farm.  We never did see those foxes again.

The painting on the Fleet Foxes album cover is "Netherlandish Proverbs", which, as pointed out a few times below, was painted by Pieter Bruegel, the Elder.
At first I didn't care for this, but then the change midway through kind of perked my ears up a bit. I few more listens may turn this into a favorite, I think.
Don't you love how music messes with your head like that?
Huh, sounds like Fleet Foxes.
XXXTREM-SUCKO!
I like many tunes on this album. Nice to hear something different from it. Kinda used to 'Your Protector'...glad to hear something a bit different.

I agree, and then when I realize that it is not Billy Joel, I am so very relieved.

Yep. Loves me my RadioParadise. Hates me my RadioParadise. And bottom line: Loves me my RadioParadise.

No, it's just that this particular painting is by the father, not the son...

What I've heard, I haven't liked.  That said, I found I just liked this a lot.

God, I love these guys—-the slow, middle part of the song very pretty—-just got the album.

Yeah, I was fooled too. This is less swoopy and more melodic than MMJ. Worth an 8 for me.

Nice transition Bill!
Never heard that one before; very nice. First time I've heard of this group too, I think. Love RP!
I cannot place the song, but King Crimson has almost exactly the same guitar chord progression, albeit more jangly, in one of their songs. The tempo is, obviously, more subdued in any Fleet Foxes piece.

The cover looks like a Hieronymus Bosch but it could be another artist of that era or a re-creation.

Cover? Who did the original?

Great song, great cover...not surprising to find it in a great radio ;)
