On a fast train
A trick of light
Crossing my eyes
The sky went blank
Calling out your name
Calling out your name
Like the last
Of those fires
You shall burn, into the night
Like a moth,
To the flame
I will turn back again, I'm coming home
Calling out your name
All I've ever known
Distant call
Down the way
Distant train, on the line
I return
To your sign
With the push and the pull of your time
It's all I've ever known
Calling out your name
All I've come along......
Lord, I'm coming home

IMO this group is too mundane to continue to create more music. Heard one Doves tune, yep, you've heard em all.

Or even 4' 33" by John Cage? ;)
It might interest listeners to know that a cover of Cage's composition (yes, really), is being pushed by a social networking campaign called Cage Against the Machine as a Xmas No. 1 in the UK, mainly to prevent yet another X Factor karaoke number getting to number one and sticking one up that smarmy b@stard Simon Cowell's @rse. I just thought youse would all want to know that :o)
I had to laugh out loud when I read your phrase, ". . . smarmy b@stard Simon Cowell's @rse."
In our house, "Simon Cowell" is the epithet which requires vowel redaction. In the words of my dearly departed Father: "There's something about that man that just chaps my ass."
Or even 4' 33" by John Cage? ;)

"8:05" by Moby Grape could be a good follow up after this one.
And "5:15" by The Who.

It is a most excellent CD. I highly recommend it and am glad to see RP playing an increasingly large selection of songs from this CD.
Doves are awesome both live and in the studio - one of my top 50 bands of all time. . .
