Well, the light was rust, and the cold was in our knees,
and our breath poured out over golden fields
Though I could not know then, we'd have but few times like these,
with all the good smoke in between

Tucked the darkness in, dragged the harrow across the land,
found my fresh start, sowed my wildest dreams
Though I could not know then, I was well in the weeds,
a tangled mess, whatever could come next

before the hours took over,
before the full weight was on our shoulders,
before the twilight's cover,
before I knew time was such a swindler

Oh my dear friend, everything falls to death
We tuck the darkness in, we tuck the darkness in
Oh my dear friend, everything falls to death
We tuck the darkness in, we tuck the darkness in

Andrew Bird?

Sure sounds like him!
Andrew Bird?
College rock, eh?  Hilarious.

Listening.... not sure what to think yet.

Not noisy really, just sort of disorganized Arcade Fire caterwaul...surprising how derivative much of this college rock is.

This is still a more evocative and ear-worthy piece than thump thump thump Arcade Misfire.

Which musical genre is not derivative again?  This does sound kind of "loose" or disorganized though - whether deliberately or not - but it doesn't sound much like Arcade Fire to me.
Sounds like he is singing "dog in space"

It's OK, I suppose, but right after William Orbit....IDK....

Yes, I too agree...Orbitus interruptus...but I still find it pleasant.

Very much like the Loving Spoonful.
I love this.
A bit like my beloved Elvis Perkins?
Yes yes!  Bowerbirds on RP finally!
It's OK, but aren't there enough male singers that are evoking the 70's folk singers?
Very nice, evocative tune. Unusual.  Play it again soon!
Nice to hear this song as one of the first listerners! Dont know the artist. Who is he? Nice!
Lovely song. I was not completely listening, and look forward to hearing it again. It's an 8.
