Wow, Alfie sure knows how to write a song. 
The lyrics surly, not Shirley but, surely will hit home with many.
I'm sure Lee or your name_____ fill in the blank, will agree?
Take the  words in his song and mix them with his perfect tune and I'd give it an 11, but that number hasn't been invented yet.

The singing obviously doesn't sound quite like Daniel Lanois or Bob Dylan but the guitar sounds so much like that sound Lanois has, it's what I think of every time I hear this.

Those "down the thread" might just be wrong.  I would suggest "Caught Me Thinking","Okay, Alright, I'm Alive","I Got You Babe", and "Time And Time Again" if you like this one.  If those songs float your boat, I would further suggest Bahamas new album, "Is Alfie".  It is easily as good as this disc.
