You'll never notice out of control is
These wild waters throwing us back
I wanna know you can control it,
Knowing all my will is gone
Are we running ??
Just tryina stick above

You always said don't fight it
We could choose this and rise above
When everything else is spinning round
I got aligned to the center
You always said don't fight it
We could choose this and rise above
When everything else is spinning round
I got aligned to the center

All these decision clouding my visions
These wild waters throwing us back
There's something 'bout this brings out the problems
Coming over this water down
So throw us all back,
We are more than enough to go

You always said don't fight it
We could choose this and rise above
When everything else is spinning round
I got aligned to the center
You always said don't fight it
We could choose this and rise above
And everything else is spinning round
I got aligned to the center

I think these lyrics are a lot closer to correct:

You'll never notice
Out of control its
These wild waters
Throwing us about
I wanna know if
You can control it
Knowing all my will is gone

Are we running the motor cold
Just trying to stay afloat

You always said don't fight it
I could use it and rise above
When everything else is spinning out
I got a line to the centre
You always said don't fight it
We could choose this and rise above
When everything else is spinning out
I got a line to the centre

Foolish decisions
Clouding my vision
These wild waters
Throwing us about
But something about this
Brings out your finest
Calming all this water down

So throw at us all you got
We've weathered enough to cope

You always said don't fight it
We could choose this and rise above
When everything else is spinning out
I got a line to the centre
You always said don't fight it
We could choose this and rise above
When everything else is spinning out
I got a line to the centre

You always said don't fight it
We could choose this and rise above
When everything else is spinning out
I got a line to the centre
You always said don't fight it
We could choose this and rise above
When everything else is spinning out
I got a line to the centre
I like it a lot, including the non-standard percussion.

It's funny how, on a self-proclaimed eclectic station in which you have to take the trouble to sign up to comment, there's always a couple of people who complain anytime an artist deviates from norms.

Thank you artists for deviating from the norms. Please continue to experiment.

Like her a lot.The funny thing about this track is how good the vocals are, and how BAD the rest of it is. Cheesy percussion and the mix sounds like it was done on a laptop in a public restroom.

I saw a live performance of her doing this song, which was basically just her on layered vocals, a guy on guitar, & another on keyboards, with a bunch of other stuff already canned (much like London Grammar). I'd much prefer to see this with a 10+ piece band, with 2-3 legitimate percussionists & maybe some strings, but you have to think that she put this together with whatever limited resources that she had and she couldn't spring for high-quality production values.

Homage to The Smiths. But, I like the way this sounds. Rhythm is exactly as it should be.

Yeah. And without it, this song would be just another ballad. Now it's awesome.

Damn I had to look twice to see if this was London Grammar. Now I wonder if London Grammar was a fan of Jane.
yeah I hear the flagpole. The flag is down... because they're popping popcorn

Sounds like a rope slapping on a flag pole in a breeze

Yes, does have that structure. Good catch. Different delivery vocally.

Or ... The Weeknd in parts ... {#Ask}

Kill the percussionist.

The piano chord progression is the same as The Cure's "The Forest".  There is no copyright in chord progression in music of course - I'm just mentioning for others to see if you can hear it too?

There are some multi-tracked harmonies and deep reverb, but it doesn't sound like there's any auto-tune or pitch correction/modulation in there, but even if there is, as you said, you might as well "play with it".
