There are so many things I love about Darlingside - the beautiful melodies, evocative lyrics, the instrumentation and arrangements, and of course, the vocal harmonies.

Listening to this one again now - and this is a technique they employ in many of their songs - I'm particularly appreciating the way they use that dampened, percussive attack on acoustic instruments to create dynamic energy and drive the rhythm. 
They're just such a talented and creative bunch of musicians / songwriters and everyone here in this humble hut loves them!

Thank you RP for making my cold, wet, Pacific Northwest day a whole lot brighter by including Darlingside in your playlists!
