And which party is that? I'm reading the lyrics and not finding any mention of a political party.  Rather, I'm hearing a man sing about 'how things work in my America.'
Political undercurrents, yes. A song from a political party, to you, and deserving sarcastic thanks, quite a stretch.
I've yet to see a Kasey Anderson 2020 bumper sticker.

6 times! I was wondering why I was hearing this again.. Ugh.. I mean I like the song enough, but.. this is a bit much. Some how it always seems to play when I'm listening.

This song is so timely now (especially in the USA).  I for one am delighted that RP has it in (relatively) heavy rotation.
Just to be clear, I mean this with sincerity and not so much snark!  6 Times in a month is NOT too much!  Especially for an intelligent, timely (although written a couple of years ago) excellent song and voice.   Followed by The Byrds!   How many times have you heard that song and still love it?  Relax. These folks are excellent programmers and really your comment just proves that!  Peace out.

I thought this was Steve Earle*, but it's great to see a new-ish artist carrying the torch. Intense work, and timely.

*High praise from this corner.
That was lame.

There's a powerful video making the rounds right now. This song with revised lyrics features in it, changing one of the last lines to "those white boys with money better learn how to run".  This song, revised like that, feels like first protest song of 2020.

Yes! I watched the video a couple of days ago and I actually cried (and I'm not normally a crier).  The video made perfect us of the song.

Nice set of lyrics:
"Let the wall hit your back
The blood hit your tongue
You and me baby we're the dangerous ones"

The changes to the lyrics you hear on the live recording vs those shown add something too.

...and apparently he is speaking the truth, given the indictments and his plea.

Thanks Bill and Rebecca!
This song/artist is suddenly a big deal, since "Ugly Bobbie" Lefsetz wrote him up. Sounds exactly like Steve Earle. In other words, little if anything original to crow about. But then, this artist isn't really known for (legal) originality.
First comment. New artist to me.
Heard an attempt to edit out MF.  Didn't quite work.
Going with a 6 rating to start.
