There is a low-pass filter on the guitar, occasionally sweeping higher or lower; an effect often used with synthesizers to add expression. Here it has a nice effect of changing how the guitar sits in the mix or making it more or less "bright" at different times. The sound is different than typical EQ-based mixing techniques.

Yeah, just last week RP was playing this and I had a visitor here, she asked "Did he really just say 'come to your erection'?"
