I have never been there before
All of the traveling that I have done
I don't know what I am looking for
Do you have a friend in New York?
Is she fighting for your art?
There are things I haven't told you
I know it keeps us apart
I am reaching out to you
God is on our side
It is all that you ever talk about
Coming home, home to the other side
You called it sentimentality
You called it intrigue
All of the knowing that I have done
I don't know what you mean
I wanna feel good again
I wanna feel right, right, right
Come on over closer to me
I'm letting you inside
I am lonely for you in Norway
I am lonely for you in Spain
Could you hold me in the darkness?
Would you tell the world my name?
Oh, I am reaching out for something
God is on our side
I wanna feel good again
I wanna feel right, right, right
I would like to go to Canada
I would like to go there with you
All of the loving that I have done
I don't know what I am waiting for
Nice - sounds like its in Bflat, a common jazz key
Please don't be doing a Circle of Fifths kind of thing. It will drive us all nuts.
Don't know what it is.
Lyrics are catchy as well as reflective? Melodics and harmonics are spot on. Vocals got some punch but not dramatic.
Or is it that trumpet?
Not sure what exactly happened, but for the last few weeks, everyone I talk to is quoting the opening line of this song. Seems like it's "going viral". Whatever that means.

It's absolutely fantastic.
Seriously, turn it up.
Canada is the best.
This song is very Canadian in its earnestness.
Definitely there are echoes of Aldous in some of the melody flows, and pronunciation idios.. Agree :)
I always think it's Aldous! I like them both!
I'm hearing some Aldous Harding in here. Is there such a thing as a "New Zealand" sound? Nice tune.

What I want to know is, how does Bill do it?
A VAST knowledge of what's out there - both popular and obscure. Or - and this is more likely - he's a Magician

I see what you mean; to my ears this is a bit more "muscular" and lyrically less wilfully obscure.

Magic? Hundreds of staff? Algorithms.?
We will never know.
Come up, Nadia!
Ditto, eh!
She sounds a lot like Aldous Harding
That'd be the accent...
(Fellow kiwi - without the talent - here ;)

Bill > any algorithm. That's my equation.
Here is the live version, even better live
Kiwi here, and hadn't heard of her before.
A "7" on first listen here - another RP discovery!
German here, and I know Nadia since 2016. I possess her three albums on CD. They are easily to get here in Europe. And they got very positive reviews.
Of course such music isn't played on normal German radio stations. As far as I remember she was a spotify discovery. One of many.

Yet another great find from Bill and Rebecca. This is the exciting thing about RP. What a voice!🙂👍👏
Her music is played on bFM - Auckland student radio.

First to comment! Solid 7 for me. Very likeable tune.
